Hello my “Walking with Jesus” friends,Would you believe we’ve now reached the TWO YEAR mark for this amazing daily experience together we call “Walking with Jesus”? It began as a request from a few friends for a daily time of reflecting together in God’s Word but doing so as if we were experiencing it together with each other and with Jesus! I hope God is refreshing you each day with “Walking with Jesus” as He is refreshing me as I produce it under the guidance of the Holy Spirit!! Today is significant because we’re accompanying Paul & Barnabas as they come to a major turning point in their first missionary journey.(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/wednesday-02-june-2021-encourage-strengthen/      Today’s Scripture is Acts 14:19-22. Choose below to read or listen.Pastor Doug Anderson    262.441.8785  “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, with our eyes fixed on Jesus…” (Heb. 12:1,2)Have a comment or question about today’s chapter? I’m ready to hear from you, contact me here.

  • 21.06.01 Lystra Miracle – Acts 14:5-20
Yesterday was Memorial Day in America. I’m still pondering the high price of paying with your life to help gain the freedom of someone else? Perhaps you know there was one American family in WWII who had five sons, all who went into the US Navy. These Sullivan brothers requested the Navy assign them all to serve on the same ship together. It was a rare request, but it was granted and for some time these five brothers enjoyed being together at sea. But on November 13, 1942 their ship was sunk by a Japanese torpedo attack. Four of the brothers went down with the ship, one made it into a life raft, but he died before the raft was rescued one week later. Can you imagine the grief of that family who paid the ultimate freedom price with ALL five of their sons?  I guess I’m particularly reflective these days since so much is changing morally in our world and in America. I continue to try and help us gain God’s proper perspective on life as we “walk with Jesus”, for I fear we are drifting very far as societies as cities as families as individuals, far away from God!! (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/tuesday-1-june-2021-lystra-miracle/      Today’s Scripture is Acts 14:5-20.

  • 21.05.31 Deliverance – Acts 14:1-4
In America, today it is a holiday… Memorial Day. I shared with you some history of this yesterday. It’s really a full weekend celebration in America and it should be! What’s the value of a life laid down willingly to try and rescue others? I salute you who are my “Walking with Jesus” friends and have worn the American military uniform, especially if you’ve been among those who went to help other nations defend or gain freedom. In years past, all around the world in “veteran cemeteries” where American military are buried, special ceremonies have been held on this day, to honor these courageous Americans, almost all of whom died in foreign countries, fighting on behalf of other people who longed for freedom and peace.(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/monday-31-may-2021-deliverance/    Today’s Scripture is Acts 14:1-4.

  • 21.05.28 Transition – Acts 13:44-52
Have you ever felt rejected even though you were trying to do something very good, very helpful? It wasn’t a misunderstanding, it was simply outright rejection of the help you were trying to offer? Let’s take a look at that, as we continue our travels with Paul and Barnabas, on their first missionary journey. We’re in chapter 13 of the book of Acts of the Bible. Paul had made a powerful and skillful presentation of the good news of Jesus in the Synagogue, in the city of Pisidian Antioch, in what is today modern day Turkey. The Jews who heard him that day were so impressed with his thorough understanding of Jewish history and Scriptures, that they invited Paul and Barnabas back for the following Sabbath, to continue sharing more remarkable truths about Jesus.(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/friday-28-may-2021transition/   Today’s Scripture is Acts 13:44-52.

  • 21.05.26 Elymas – Acts 13:4-12
May I begin today with a question? What do you believe the reputation of Jesus is in your city? How do the people of your city FEEL about Jesus, Christianity, the Bible, church going people, or people who call themselves “Christians”?  And then this question… how available in your city are things of the occult like palm readers or seances or channeling encounters with the dead? What level of fascination or interest is there in your city for things of the dark kingdom or the demonic?(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/wednesday-26-may-2021-elymas/ Today’s Scripture is Acts 13:4-12.

  • 21.05.25 Diversity with Jesus – Acts 13:1-5
DIVERSITY is a word that is stirring up quite a commotion in North America these days. Hiring and even promotion decisions are being affected in all types of employment. Diversity is affecting college enrollments and athletic team recruitment of players, coaches and even owners. Diversity is becoming a very powerful political weapon causing the rising and falling of many with political hopes, and profoundly affecting political decisions which become law and policy. Societies are rapidly changing because of this one issue aren’t they? But would you consider that the global group of Jesus followers today is the greatest evidence of God directed diversity in the world?(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/tuesday-25-may-2021-diversity-with-jesus/   Today’s Scripture is Acts 13:1-5.

  • 21.05.24 Mentor Moments – Acts 12:16-25
Common sense, clear thinking, especially when crazy things are happening around you, is vitally important, isn’t it? Are you a person known to be caught up in the craziness or one who thinks wisely and clearly in the midst of the storm? Who helped you learn how to stand with wisdom in the storm and who are you teaching this critical skill to, my friends?  Yesterday I left us standing on a dark street in Jerusalem, 2000 years ago. The apostle Peter was knocking on the outer door to a home. Peter had just been miraculously rescued from king Herod’s prison by an angel!
