  • 21.05.21 Discipleship – Acts 11:24-30
In most parts of our world if you need help in almost any aspect of life, help is readily available. Medical help, financial advice, education, home repair, automotive repair, even spiritual help. But who do you call when things are going TOO well? So well you can’t  handle all the blessings! Has that ever happened to you? Yesterday I left you in the city of Antioch, with Barnabas, pondering how God was pouring out enormous blessings in that city. (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/friday-21-may-2021-discipleship/    Today’s Scripture is Acts 11:24-30. Choose below to read or listen.Pastor Doug Anderson    262.441.8785  “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, with our eyes fixed on Jesus…” (Heb. 12:1,2)Have a comment or question about today’s chapter? I’m ready to hear from you, contact me here.

  • 21.05.20 Antioch – Acts 11:19-24
Think back for a moment, to all the various places where you have lived in your lifetime. Now think about WHY you lived there, and what caused the relocation moves in your life from one place to another? Finally, of all the places where you have lived, which do you consider ‘home’ and why?   Today, let’s look together at Acts 11:19-24, only five verses, and it begins by talking about people who have relocated. (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/thursday-20-may-2021-antioch/  Today’s Scripture is Acts 11:19-24.

  • 21.05.19 Confronted – Acts 11:1-18
When was the last time you were CONFRONTED? Someone challenged something they heard you say, or someone questioned you about where they thought they saw you, or who they saw you with? In the past few days we’ve been walking with Peter as he experienced one of the most life changing events of his entire life… in the Roman regional capital city of Caesarea, and in the house of a Roman military officer named Cornelius. Gentiles… a whole bunch of Gentiles, had trusted the truth of Jesus and suddenly the Holy Spirit of God came upon them, just as had happened in Jerusalem on Pentecost day! And Peter was there… an eye witness to it all!(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/wednesday-19-may-2021-confronted/   Today’s Scripture is Acts 11:1-18.

  • 21.05.18 A New Thing – Acts 10:44-48
Do you find yourself confused, perplexed when things happen out of the normal, logical order in which YOU think they are supposed to happen? By the time we reach adulthood, we realize we live in an unpredictable world, but yet we expect predictability, consistency from so much of life, don’t we? Do you find yourself expecting God to function according to unchanging, predictable, logical, step by step processes? And when God doesn’t… when God does something unexpected, does that trouble you? How do you respond when God does the unexpected?(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/tuesday-18-may-2021-a-new-thing/ Today’s Scripture is Acts 10:44-48.

  • 21.05.17 Caesarea Revival – Acts 10:24-28
I wonder if you’ve ever followed someone into something you had strong cautions about? Like following someone into a deep cave, or trying to climb a cliff tethered to a seasoned rock climber? Or walking on a winding path in thick forest at night, and only the person at the head of the line has a small light? Or maybe going with someone to a city you’ve never visited before? Remember how you felt? The butterflies in your stomach, your mouth dry, your heart beating rapidly? Come with me, let’s follow Peter on such a journey in Acts 10.(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/monday-17-may-2021-caesarea-revival/    Today’s Scripture is Acts 10:24-48.

  • 21.05.15 Vision and Visitors – Acts 10:9-23
When is the last time someone asked you to try something way outside your comfort zone? Maybe skydiving or scuba diving or public speaking in front of a large audience? And when was the last time you sensed GOD was inviting you to something that was way outside the boundaries of what is comfortable for you? What have you done when presented with those adventurous opportunities? Yesterday I left you sitting on a rooftop in Joppa, about 2000 years ago. Looking west, you can see the Mediterranean Sea and the fishing boats. Looking north, the road toward the Roman regional capital city of Caesarea. Looking south east, if you could see 50 miles or so, you’d see Jerusalem. Peter is on this rooftop praying at midday. • 21.05.14 Joppa – Acts 10:1-9
When life slows down enough and you have time to sit with a friend, perhaps looking out over a lake, or the ocean or some quiet place, what do you talk about? Do you have a friend or two with whom you can talk about the really important things of life, those things deep down in your soul that really matter to you. And may I ask: with whom do you talk about the things that will be important to you 100 years from now… when the story of your earthly life has all been written, what will be important to you then? I’m so glad, and humbled, that you and thousands of people around the world, are willing to spend 10 minutes or so with Jesus and me each day, reflecting on the really important things of life! (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/friday-14-may-2021-joppa/     Today’s Scripture is Acts 10:1-9.

  • 21.05.13 Adventure – Acts 9:31-43
If you were invited to write a brief paragraph of your summary of the condition of our world in the last two or three years, I wonder what you would write? Lately we’ve been walking with the apostles, those closest friends of Jesus, in the months and years immediately following Jesus’ return to heaven. In the first 8 chapters of Acts, the book in the Bible which gives us the story, it’s really been quite amazing, hasn’t it? And now in the 9th chapter the dramatic events surrounding the total transformation of Saul, the angry Pharisee who was determined to erase any memory of Jesus, from the entire Roman Empire! Saul encountered the resurrected Jesus and his life changed forever. So much so that Saul became the premier living advertisement in celebration of Jesus! Of course that was met with skepticism by many people and anger by others, especially those who like Saul, wanted everything about this “Jesus movement” removed from society. Wherever you live in our world, what efforts do you see are underway to remove from your society anything related to Jesus, including silencing Jesus followers? Are those efforts succeeding?(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/thursday-13-may-2021-adventure/    Today’s Scripture is Acts 9:31-43.

  • 21.05.12 New Life – Acts 9:26-30
I wonder how often you think about actually living, hour by hour, day after day, in the practical reality of that little phrase “Walking with Jesus”? How should a strong sense of the presence of God with us affect how we SEE our world, or how we LISTEN to information coming to us from the internet or cable news or talk shows or social media? How should a sense of God’s presence affect our attitudes, our choices, our perspective on everything, our priorities, our values, our relationships?  I think that was a big part of what was going on with those thousands of people who had believed the apostles and trusted in Jesus in the months following Jesus’ return to heaven.(Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/wednesday-12-may-2021-new-life/    Today’s Scripture is Acts 9:26-30.

  • 21.05.11 Jesus’ Gospel – Galatians 1:11-24
When is the last time someone said to you “I was wrong! I know I was confident, absolutely sure of my opinions. I know I ridiculed you and others who questioned me… but now I see the fallacy of what I was so confident about. I have had a significant change of my mind and my heart. I’ve changed. I’m not the same person I was.” Maybe it was a person who had rejected God, as an atheist for a long time, but then came to understand God and His truth. Maybe it was a person who had believed carefully packaged distortions or even lies of politicians or philosophers or Hollywood, but now they have come to understand God’s truth. Maybe it was a person who mocked you for believing the Bible or believing Jesus, and now the Holy Spirit has opened their mind and heart to Jesus Christ. (Click here to see full text, images and links)Or  copy and go to this link: https://walkingwithjesus.ddawj-365.com/tuesday-11-may-2021-jesus-gospel/   Today’s Scripture is Galatians 1:11-24.
