In the final installment of our Mexico Pavilion mini-series, we explore the history and evolution of the pavilion's boat ride—from the opening-day attraction El Río del Tiempo to today's Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros.

We'll uncover the original vision behind the attraction, the cultural storytelling that inspired it, and how Imagineers used music, architecture, animation, and history to guide guests through Mexico's ancient, colonial, and modern eras. Then we'll follow the attraction's transformation into a character-driven adventure starring Donald Duck, José Carioca, and Panchito.

In this episode, you'll discover:

• The origins of El Río del Tiempo and its original storyline
• How the concept of "The Three Cultures of Mexico" shaped the attraction
• The role of Imagineers X. Atencio, Eddie Martinez, and Ray Aragon
• The music, costumes, and cultural influences featured throughout the ride
• The history of Saludos Amigos and The Three Caballeros films
• How Donald Duck, José Carioca, and Panchito became part of EPCOT
• The transformation from El Río del Tiempo to Gran Fiesta Tour
• Hidden connections between the current attraction and its opening-day predecessor

Whether you're nostalgic for El Río del Tiempo or a fan of Gran Fiesta Tour, this episode reveals the fascinating history behind one of EPCOT's most charming and enduring attractions.

Kevin and Amanda recently returned from Disneyland with one question on their minds: How well does the newly reimagined pirate fit into Pirates of the Caribbean?

In this episode of Imagine That, they share their firsthand impressions after experiencing the attraction in person and dive into a deeper discussion through the lens of the Imagineering Pyramid. From storytelling and character design to immersion and thematic consistency, they examine where the new addition succeeds, where it may fall short, and why changes to beloved attractions are rarely as simple as they first appear.

Whether you're excited about the update, skeptical of the change, or simply fascinated by the art of theme park design, this episode offers a balanced look at one of Disneyland's newest additions—and the Imagineering principles behind it.

Movies, events, parks, and more. Plus, as a special bonus we end the show with a fun conversation with Margaret Kerry who sadly passed away.
