John Worthy, aged 14, joined 3AW in 1949 as an office boy employed by Terry Dear.
Best remembered as 3AW's chief newsreader in th 1960s and 70s, John worked at 3AW, 3UZ and 3KZ with some of radios biggest names... Ormsby Wilkins, Norman Banks, Eric Pearce, John McMahon, Alwyn Kurtz, John Masters, and Ray Chapman.
John Worthy passed away on Sunday 12 August, 2018 with his family by his side.
