사람이 만일 참된 정신을 가지고 본다면 이 세상 모든 것이 하나도 경전 아님이 없나니, 눈을 뜨면 곧 경전을 볼 것이요, 귀를 기울이면 곧 경전을 들을 것이요, 말을 하면 곧 경전을 읽을 것이요

If people look at this world in the right spirit, there will be nothing in it that is not scripture. When you open your eyes, you will be seeing scripture; when you listen, you will be hearing scripture; when you speak, you will be reciting scripture.

애착이라 하는 것은 사랑에 끌리어 서로 멀리 떠나지를 못한다든지 갈려 있을 때에 보고 싶은 생각이 나서 자신 수도나 공사(公事)에 지장이 있게 됨을 이름이니라.

Attachment means/ that one is so attached /that one cannot bear to leave another person behind/, or one so wants to see that person/ when separated /that one cannot proceed /with one’s own practice or public service.
