A healthy and active lifestyle can have the appearance of being tough to maintain and consuming a lot of energy. Nutrition is the pinnacle of that complexity and the source of so much frustration and angst. Why is it so hard? Why is there so much information? Why do I need to know so much? Has it always been this hard? Why diet is right for me? What are my micro and macro nutrients levels supposed to be? Where do I sit on the body mass index? What is my basal metabolic rate? Is my height to weight ratio in check? Is my rest heart rate ok?

What if someone said, who cares…don’t worry about any of it?

Keep it simple.

After meeting Jen at a Fundraiser, I knew I had to have her on as a guest. Jen is a consultant for the ever-expanding BC Wine, Craft Beer, Distilleries and Cideries in B.C. When I come across people who are authentically passionate about what they do, I am incredibly drawn to them. I have to hear more and I love to listen to them speak. My mind becomes a sponge ready to soak up every word that comes out of their mouth and the journey they take me on is unbelievable. This, by definition, was my experience with Jen.

I don’t even know where to start, to express my appreciation and gratitude to everyone who has been on WE are I and to everyone who has downloaded one of the episodes. We are a community with a message of strength, perseverance and determination. There is nothing that has been able to stand in our communities’ way and break who we are, as an individual and as a whole. Each one of us is a brick in our communities’ fortress that will allow us all to be strong and succeed in anything that life brings our way.
