On this episode, Nikki talks to sought after speaker, certified Overcome Anxiety Clinic Facilitator, meditation teacher and hypnosis practitioner Gina Waterfield about how she uses her holistic approach to healing to empower women. She shares how she watched her grandmother do energy healing work growing up, and while she tried to blend in as a child and not be interested in it, she later felt called to energy work in her adult life. She tells a powerful story of an incredibly healing moment she had with a young woman in her reiki practice and how the image she saw during the session affected the woman's life. Gina and Nikki discuss how energy is stored in the body, how epigenetics influence our life, what can happen when we allow ourselves to be curious about our misaligned feelings, how to become aware of fear based language and the importance of true self love.

On this episode, Nikki and Priscilla talk to Haseena and Shameema Patel, sisters from South Africa who are co-founders of Leave No Girl Behind International and authors of Un-Stressed, Un-Limited & Un-Breakable: A guide to finding and reclaiming who you are in a brave new world. Leave No Girl behind International is an organization founded by Haseena and Shameema to empower girls globally, affirm to girls and women their own strength, and inspire them to live up to their own potential. They both work as empowerment coaches to intentionally empower girls at a grassroots level. They share with Nikki how growing up during Apartheid was an experience that stripped them of their voices and made them forget who they were, so now they are intentional with asking themselves "Who am I and why am I making the decisions I'm making?" They discuss the importance of also asking yourself "What am I doing right now because I CAN? And who are the important people in my life?" They explain the urgency of unapologetically being yourself, and Nikki shares how she realized that a deep love for self is what makes you exude a deep love of others.

On this episode, Nikki and Priscilla talk to Caroline Portugal about how she has helped women who are survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking feel empowered through nutrition, fitness, positive image transformation and art for over 20 years. After growing up on an organic hydroponic vegetable farm, raised by two professional athletes, she has a great appreciation for food and how amazing it can taste and look. She shares how she takes women from feeling like victims to being survivors by helping them learn self defense, fall in love with the many approaches to fitness, and teaching them how to shop and cook with fresh produce. She discusses the mind gut connection and how through her research she saw a woman gain confidence and lose weight by changing the foods in her diet. To boost women's confidence, she also teaches situational awareness, how to make eating a fun fine art, and how to defend themselves against any attacker.

On this episode, Nikki and Priscilla discuss what it means to be empowered. They talk about how sometimes the word can have a negative connotation for women, and that it is interpreted as being aggressive, abrasive or bossy, but that it really is a sense of peace and contentment with your life because you are living in line with your own truth. They explain how sometimes we think of empowerment as being busy and taking care of everything perfectly, but it really comes from doing what we feel is right for ourselves in each moment. Ultimately, they define empowerment as the ability to listen to yourself and act on your own intuition.
In this episode, Nikki discusses how important mindset is in the pursuit of anything. She shares stories from multiple people in her life that have made her believe mindset is the key. She talks about her sister's battle with lupus, which led to her needing a heart and kidney transplant in her early 30s, and how doctors told her the average heart transplant patient only lives a few years after it. Her sister was determined to enjoy more of her life though and lived for 26 and a half years after the transplant, because of her positive mindset. Nikki also shares how she taught her kids her affirmation "my body is healthy and strong" and when her kids would get the stomach flu at school, they would be over it in 12 hours while other kids were out of school for two or three days. Similarly, Nikki tells the story of how Joe Dispenza fought against all odds to walk again after getting hit by a truck going 55 miles per hour, and how he credits a lot of his success to removing negative people from his life who said he wouldn't be able to do it. With many other stories, Nikki explains how health starts in your mind, and the more positive thoughts you feed to your mind, the more you don't have to be a victim of the world around you, instead, you can be whatever you want.
On this episode, Nikki talks to her mom, 83 year old Christine Zogorean who is a two time gold medal powerlifter, and her coach, 78 year old Patraic Currey who is a 9 Time World Champion Powerlifter and Christine's powerlifting coach. Christine shares how just a few years ago, she was suffering from spinal stenosis and could barely walk from her car to the grocery store, and after not having any success treating it with any medication, she went to see a physical therapist who ended up helping her restore strength to her body while ridding it of pain. Once she was able to move again, she started going to the gym and found a personal trainer who helped her build up her strength and then she decided she wanted to try out powerlifting. When she asked around for a coach, Patraic's name was mentioned and she started working with him, eventually getting two gold medals in powerlifting and setting records herself. Christine and Patraic discuss the mindset and mentality it takes to keep lifting heavier, and how important it is to not assume your age can keep you from doing anything, especially if you have a competitive spirit. They talk about how movement is medicine, and to not be intimidated by someone else being able to do something you can't, but to be inspired instead.
