  • EPISODE 105: What would you do if you had no limits

What would you do if you had no limits? Can you imagine an unlimited universe? What happens if you let go of expectations and let the universe take control?

Imagine a world where we take away all the thoughts, fears, and experiences that limit our lives and we create space to grow, take risks, empower ourselves, become our true selves.

This is the world we want to create with you. Join Tovah and Rielly as we discuss how to embrace the limitless life we’ve always dreamed of.

    GO BOLDLY HOMEWORK

    1. Join our Rethinking Resolutions Group Challenge and try delimiting your life this year.
    2. Set a timer for 10 minutes, bust out the journal, and brainstorm all the ways in which you are limiting yourself right now. All the beliefs that you hold that limit you and keep you from pursuing your goals/dreams. Set that aside.
    3. Set another 10 minute timer and journal all the things you would do if none of the limiting beliefs you wrote down were real. Let your imagination run free.

  • THROWBACK to EPISODE 30: Practicing Acceptance

Its way back Wednesday when we highlight one of our favorite episodes. This episode we focus on practicing acceptance from the perspective of empathy.  Acceptance is hard. Acceptance means embracing reality. It is a willingness to experience things as they are, instead of insisting that they be as you want them to be.

It is only with acceptance that we can truly embrace change and practice empathy. Acceptance allows you to move on instead of being perpetually stuck in a quagmire of “should haves” and “would haves”.

We reflect on our  own hesitancy with acceptance and the steps we can take to achieve it.  As with everything else, acceptance takes continue practice and hard work.

Join us for this week and we can do the hard work to build collective empathy.

    GO BOLDLY HOMEWORK

    1. Journal time: Where in your life could you be more accepting? EIther inwardly or outwardly?
    2. Journal time: Think back to a time when you were not accepting?  How would it have been easier and so how can you apply it to your life today?
    3. Check our Instagram stories for some mediation suggestions. If you’re up to it, share with us on social.

  • THROWBACK to EPISODE 53: What is faith?

When we first recorded this episode it kicked off our Faith and Transformation season. We spent the episode talking about the meaning and definition of faith. Now that we are replaying old episodes to kick off the New Year, they are taking on additional meaning and space in our podcast lineup. As we move into 2023 we are reflecting on motivation, goal setting, systems, and pursuing our purpose. What does that have to do with faith?

When we decide to set goals, make changes, or plan for the future we have to take risks, whether small or large. All of that requires a leap of faith in some way or another. Understanding the basis of faith, looking at the role it plays in our lives, and how we can renew and grow our faith will help us on our journey.

Check out Episode 53, What is Faith, and don't forget to share, rate, review and subscribe while you are there.

    GO BOLDLY HOMEWORK

      2. Where do you feel it in your body?
      3. Is your faith connected to a place?
      4. How do you maintain your connection to god, the universe, the world at large? Is it easy, hard or somewhere in between?
    2. Put your answers down for now. Come back and re-read later. Share some with us in the comments to our insta post of this episode. Let us know how you experience faith in your everyday life. @goboldlytogether

  • EPISODE 101: Letting go of outcomes and control in order to embrace our power
Today on We Go Boldly Rielly and Tovah talk about letting go of outcomes and urge to control ourselves, our environment, other people in order to feel safe and okay. So often we struggle with the feeling that we can direct and control the universe by will, by demand, by gripping tightly to our expectation of what ought to be.  This episode examines why we want to control things and people (hello fear), and how we cling to preconceived outcomes rather than accepting where we actually are right now. We walk through the science and concepts around why we need to let go of control and why it can feel so challenging to do so. Throughout this conversation we consider the ins and outs of how we often find ourselves in a cycle of clinging to outcomes, and then feeling shame, disappointment, remorse, and a multitude of other feelings when the outcome is not what we expected.  Finally, we walk through a number of ways we can help ourselves let go of outcomes and put down the burden of trying to control uncontrollable people, environments, and things. We start with acceptance of where and who we are, move to letting go of our perfectionist tendencies, and end with naming our inner tyrants. When we take the time to feel our feelings, and focus on what we actually can control; our actions and reactions, then we have space, energy and time to embrace our power. We have the capacity to focus on our inner voice, who we are at our core, and how we can bring that person out into the light.

    GO BOLDLY HOMEWORK

    1. Let’s take some time to examine what outcomes we are attached to and what tools we can use to help ourselves surrender and let go of outcomes.
    2. Share with us how you do and let us go if we can help.

  • EPISODE 99: Feeling our Feelings

Feeling the big feelings in life is hard. This episode we dig all around in those murky, deep, dark feelings that so many of us try to avoid. Why would we do this you might ask? Because avoidance is simply kicking the can down the road. It doesn't make it go away.

Join Rielly and Tovah as they tackle the big feelings we all have to grapple with from time to time. Everything from sadness to self doubt, anger, rage, and overwhelm. We take on the big feelings that can hang over our heads and drag us down, draining us of the power that we are spending this season working on embracing.

They talk through what it really means to feel your feelings as we've all been told to do time and time again. Provide specific examples of how to feel our feelings if we aren't really sure what that means, and why it is important to keep on practicing. Engage in this meaningful conversation around how our feelings can lead us into physical and mental unrest when left unexamined, unprocessed, and denied.

    GO BOLDLY HOMEWORK

    1. Join our Go Boldly Together Circle!
    2. Take time to write out your latest experience of big feelings, how did it feel in your body, what was the feeling trying to tell you, how did you deal with that feeling, what would you do differently, the same?
    3. Let us know what you think on social media!
