This week's Rick's Pick is The Thief and the Cobbler (1993) directed by Richard Williams. As the movie with the longest-ever time spent in production, we go long talking about the different versions of the film, its gorgeous animation, and completely incomprehensible story. Digressions include bottled water, creative "geniuses", and Aladdin's racism. Warning! We talk about puking a lot in the first twenty minutes of this episode lol.

This week's Lane's Frame is Pride & Prejudice (2005) directed by Joe Wright! A canonical Lane's Frame, this movie charms the pants off of us both, even though I was sick and Ricky was tired during this record so we sound a lot more muted than normal. A shockingly short episode. I can't believe we forgot to talk about the sounds of birds chirping!

This week's Rick's Pick is In the Mood for Love (2000) directed by Wong Kar-wai! Part movie discussion, part ethical argument about romance and fate, this episode gets into the psychology of the two leads, the sumptuous colors and cinematography, and whether roleplaying as your spouse's affair partner with your spouse's affair partner's spouse counts as cheating. Plus: fuck Blue Prince and the house it built, and rebuilt, and rebuilt.

This week's new release episode is A Minecraft Movie (2025) directed by Jared Hess. With friend of the show and special guest Sy, we go long on the Minecraft of it all and talk very little about the movie, which is deeply fine and not really remarkable in any way.
