We Was Watching: A Prestige TV Recap Podcast

Gen V Season 2 Premiere Recap | Episodes 1-3: Cate’s Twist, Andre’s Fate, & the Rise of Emma | Brandon & Chanel React

Gen V is back — louder, bloodier, and more brutally relevant than ever. In Episodes 1–3, The Boys universe expands with fascist TikTok influencers, shady Vought cover-ups, and some of the best queer superhero storytelling on TV.

Brandon & Chanel unpack the explosive Season 2 opener: Cate’s turn as a Vought puppet, the emotional tribute to Andre (RIP Chance Perdomo 💔), and Emma’s rise as the MVP of the resistance. Marie’s powers grow deadlier, her relationship with Jordan gets complicated (and beautifully queer), and the Odessa mystery gets deeper by the episode.

Also: Starlight returns. Dean Shetty is out. Hamish Linklater’s new character is giving major “Don’t trust me” energy. We break it all down.
