Tamil Nadu and Puducherry have had a ‘normal’ monsoon so far, even as the IMD has warned that the erstwhile cyclone ‘Burevi’ could bring more rain in these States. Tirupathur, Chennai, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Puducherry, Kancheepuram, Sivagangai, Virudhunagar and Cuddalore recorded surplus rainfall, while Kanniyakumari, Tiruchirapalli, Erode, Nilgiris and Salem recorded deficit rainfall. Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep have also logged in a deficit.
