We are coming to you from Colombia with a quick update on some of what we've been up to the last several days with our church partners.
This is part 2 of a conversation on abortion. We welcome Betsy Rowell onto the podcast with Scottie and James to sort out the complicated and sometimes confusing landscape of the Pro-Life movement, in the hopes of simplifying and bringing clarity to how we should think through this issue in a consistently and distinctively Christian way.
A conversation about the importance of confessing as a connective practice in Christian community. We explore what confession is and what it is not; how it is nurtured in constructive ways or distorted in destructive ways; and how we all contribute to a climate that is friends and hospitable to confession.

This is part 1 of 2 in a conversation on abortion. Because this is such a charged issue that's influenced by so many different voices and perspectives with so many competing agendas, it usually generates more heat than light. We do not take for granted that our congregation has a uniform view on this matter, so it's genuinely our hope to have a conversation that brings more light than heat. For us, that means we have to do our best to lay aside all of our speculations to start with God's revelation; to step back from what everyone else says to examine what God says.
A conversation about Caleb's new look, a beverage of choice, and a too-often neglected practice that is a gift from God to us, for our fellowship with Him.

A conversation about our Spiritual Practice for December. Paul Thompson is back on the show to offer wisdom and insight from 64 years of meaningful engagement with Scripture, to help us consider why we should give ourselves more than ever to this practice and to explore practical ways of doing so.
