Early in our dating, my wife encouraged me to learn this song so we could play it together. We only performed for ourselves, in dorms or occasionally with friends, but it's still an important song to us. This cover is based on the original arrangement, which just entered the public domain this year.
For this vocal performance, my wife is using the stage name DJ Fancy Pants.
› Extra Notes‹ Extra Notes
* Main guitars are two hard-panned strats. One is neck pickup fully clean, the other is middle ++ humbucker bridge combo with some soft distortion courtesy of Audacity. Both were recorded DI
* Bass is a cheap Rogue, with some extra distortion to try to be heard over phone speakers. Also recorded DI
* Wooden egg shakers played against my legs are the only percussion
* Guitar solo is a cheap Spenser SG-500 acoustic, which is also the first guitar I ever owned
* I made lots of use of Audacity's real-time effects, particularly compression and reverb
* Happy to hear any constructive criticism on the mix or arrangement!
