On the weekend most of our family took part in making a short film for the Adelaide 48 Hour Film Project. It's an annual, international event where you sign up to make a short film from scratch over the course of a weekend.

I was responsible for the music and editing and helping with the sound and dialogue recording. It was fairly stressful in the end and our film didn't exactly turn out as planned, but overall it was a good experience. And we submitted it in time, which is the main thing!

This is some of the music I put together for our film. The title comes from the scene that featured this music, where the main character is walking home past a backdrop of houses and in the shadows around her there are dark, ghost-like creatures following.

I'm starting a new long form ambient piece and building it track by track. It fits to call this one New Cycle because it's the start of a new album but mostly because it evokes the nature awakening once again after hibernating.

I'm still producing it completely on the Synthstrom Deluge, making my own simple patches either using basic waveforms or samples from other synths, sprinkling it all with field recordings.
