another week in the books! speaking of...this ended up being a very audio book-esque track...it was all just stream of mind babbling but it fit with the music. the guy from last weeks track got dropped off in this scenario by the aliens...and now he's about to be burned ...to CD! (an idea that came right at the end of working on this track (me screaming like i was being burned was a bit much) that i didn't have time to fully tackle).  a change up of this burning-at-the-stake idea actually being a computer simulation and the in-world punishment being 'being burned to CD'; the act removes you from the computer completely.

in a different world, i  did more takes of speeches and refined the idea a more, but in our world these first takes stuck.

trying not to limit myself to any specific genre, but i certainly don't know what i would call this. anyway, another exhausting week, but very glad and excited to make it through. big ideas are on the horizon.

This is a storied one.

As a preamble, we are a system. Multiple people in one body. The concept of personhood is somewhat of a more philosophical one. One or more persons are fronting, meaning that is the person you'll be talking to, have a name, and behaviors, much like any other person, except this changes for a system. Different person, different name, behaviors.

Last week we learned how to switch on command. This is huge for us. Before that we were stuck for a week before switching. This is very new to us and we haven't been able to do so since we became a system for a little over half a decade.

Now we are free, but we're still working on it. Now we have liquid perspectives on life.

Big Week!  I made two songs.

I collaborated with AiDeRen, which is my very first collaboration. We worked back and forth sending samples (Vocals and electroplankton stuff from me) and works in progress. I learned a lot from AiDeRen. I found the work very challenging, but also very rewarding because it got me to work a lot harder than I normally do. Actually go through various revisions and try different things.  I am very grateful to have been a part of it. It was great to watch AiDeRen make magic every day and me being like "okay!  here I go!"  Very grateful to have been a part of it and thanks again!

I also contributed to  WB friendly sample challenge challenge and used samples from Orange Drink and 0x_colt in the composition.

Amusingly I collaborated with AiDeRen because of an Orange Drink a comment that we (Orange Drink and I) should collab and make a distrack about AiDeRen. I guess that turned out not as planned?

Normally, I would shoot myself in the foot at the starting line and not do the thing. But this time I did the thing. It was fun! A bit scary, but fun.

I'm also doing the songwriting course at the School of song which jwh had reccomended to me. We spent the week doing object oriented writing from prompts and then had to use what we wrote and make song. My brain with my 3 weeks of piano made this Do they know that I've come?. I need to learn more. So much more.  I also attended the song sharing, which I also normally avoid, and it was good. It was nice to hear that people like my distinct and emotional voice.

So moral of the story, just do the thing. Go to the thing.

I learned so much in one week.

It does help that everyone on weekly beats and the school of song is so supportive.
