pretty busy work week in the new job. trying to do everything and learn everything at the same time but there isn't enough time.

this seems to encapsulate all that pretty well. heavily twisted reaktor newscool, which i feel like you can barely recognize. later on added vectory with the same messy live noodling, resampling, then resequencing/editing. not much you can hold onto for long, which was sort of the goal. might revisit this just to snip out little transitional glitch effects for a future idm album. or it just exists in the void of space as its own thing, who knows.

Man, this one escalated quickly.

Mixing and matching some of the stuff I've been playing around with over the last few weeks and months. (Okay, the rap vocals are missing ^^)

Completed the battle music and submitted. Seems good so far. DN gave useful feedback at practice that broke the spell. Game announcement is officially out now. Prepping marketing material for MAGWest. Excited to share. On to SFX. Chatted w/ S&B. Played w/ toy camera. Talked w/ AL about ADHD and how it plays out in life. Talked about anxiety. In-law's B-Day celebration. Nice meal out w/ V&R and K&S. House fire issues moving a long. Forever dragging w/ bureaucracy. Stopped by temporary apartment. Shared game work w/ V&R after. Watching DSA electoral wins.

Delorean Overdrive show coming soon. Practiced 3 times w/ DN in evenings sometimes get home past 1am. Commute in and out of the city has been over an hour both ways due to traffic and construction. A lot of time in car to think, listen, enjoy silence as things passing by in the dark. A bit isolated feeling. Familiar and pleasant in a way. Still mesmerized by scanning radio bands. Had Interesting thoughts about strangers and community. How the radio world reminds me of times before my own and how small the world is. The experience is old technology that harness nature and is determined by atmospheric conditions. The relationship dictates all and those who participate in it learn to adapt. Their are no guaranteed connections so the strangers that do meet on LBS and USB bands out of necessity swap feedback and advice to stay connected. Friends can't count on conditions being ideal to reach each other so they ritualistically devote time to check if they can reach each other. The technology is inherently social and communal because of its inconsistency. There is a beauty to it. It's seems foreign compared to the corporatized communications systems we are used to. The reliability made connections less special and ease of use made avoiding others and obstacle to consumption.

Felt a bit sick from exhaustion of running around. Took a day off on Friday to catch up on sleep.

Recording of my room while AL preps for bed. Radio loops. Treated layers like tape loops. Drew automation with out playing back. Rendered.

As a reward for going through the first half of weekly beats I gifted myself a Dreadbox Typhon. I am finally starting to grasp how to use it in conjunction with the M8. I love how that secondary distorted bass ended up, now I need to learn how to save presets 😅
