  • Week 27 - mukti - HEAVY
I was playing around with the M8 wavesynth again, trying to go up and down scales until I found something I liked. It kinda ended up reminding me a bit of a track that would go into some sort of video game where you're fighting a boss in a powerplant or something (kind of like ARKADLUDO from my 2024 submissions). I found a sample pack of random movie quotes/samples, and tried to continue with that vibe. The one higher pitched synth sounds maybe a bit out of placed compared to the other sounds, but I tried to mix it in and make it fit. As always, any feedback is appreciated!
The track name and cover art come from a sticker on a box I had shipped to me recently.

This week I’m posting the intro track to the album since I worked really hard on it. I’m super happy with the whole project and proud of how far Ive come with my guitar playing, string arrangement via nucleus, and conceptualization of the album with my story telling. I hope y’all like it to if you listen to it :)

did a quasi-collab with mulkaccino this week! over discord, we shared some songs and vibes, then got started in our respective daws, and shared some midi clips and audio exports for inspiration to build from. i have no idea what theirs will end up sounding like, and this is what came out of my playing around with things.

  • Week 27 - eleventhstage - Far From The Centre Of Things
By the time you read this, I will have become 36. Never a fan of celebrating birthdays but doing WB always helps.
Went back to Ableton this week after playing around with some loops and stumbling on something I liked. Ended up getting in the weeds with automation so I had to call it before I got too granular.
    Enjoy.

  • Week 27 - WahSp - Single Rider
The pre-summer-vacation-pressure is still on. I've been crazy busy at work and I have been embodying Dustsucker's last song. Also, I was alone with the kids as wifey was off to a conference.
My favorite way to relax has become picking up the m8 or the analogue pocket to doodle some music. I wanted to make something for WB with the m8 again. It has been a while.
With the m8 I have the habit of starting an idea, hardly develop it and then stash it in my ever expanding ideas folder. I sometimes go through these ideas to see if there is something I actually want to build on, but most of the time I hardly make any progress this way.
So I decided to try to do something in more or less one sitting. It turned out as an interrupted sitting, as I also wanted to take my kids out to buy some crafting stuff for them.
This is a relatively short one. It was a bit longer at first, but the end was more or less repeating the buildup it starts with, taking out a lot of the energy. So I decided to cut it short.
The title is inspired by me looking at 'De Efteling' webpage because that's where I am taking my kids as soon as school's out in a few weeks.
