have been trying my best to use Bitwig on my grandma's laptop running Debian. I've been facing harsh performance issue. Did my best to optimize the project, had to bounce audio channels a few times etc to save RAM.

I recently had to have my dog put to sleep. She was my greatest friend from me being 14 until now (28). I wrote this song about her last day which was incredibly difficult. I imagine the song as a proper goodbye to her. Enjoy!

Decided to try solo piano in lieu of a beat today. You forget how much harder it is... no correcting mistakes in post you gotta get it all right in one take. I thought my problem was "soloing" too much vs using a motif so my challenge was to stick to a motif but I think I overdid it a bit. Def need to do more of this. Hard to learn, practice, and create at the same time in general as an artist.

Wanted to do something Phil Harmonic adjacent.

Did most of the track while on the train during two to three hours.

Had a real hard time to expand it to something like a real track.

I had a lot of fun working on this one as my uncle hadn’t been in his studio in over 2 years, so I pushed and pushed him to record a lil somethin’ for me. We recorded right out of his Helix LT into my M8, and he was playing a 2018 modified Gibson SG.

Produced and recorded entirely on the M8.

I think I have been influenced by @kedbreak136 after years of listening to his great theatrical compositions, because this piece kinda ended up sounding a little bit in that cinematic universe. I dedicate this one to you, sir!

I used built-in sounds from the Yamaha YC61: the FM Choir, Soprano Sax, Horn 1, Sitar and Harp. I was THIS close to using the Shakuhachi and Koto but it just didn't work out that way this time. I improvised all 5 takes, the Harp, Horn and Sitar are one-takes, while the others are punched in a couple times.
