  • Week 19 - Kedbreak136 - Count Schmabeulbleuk
I am experimenting with my new library of Organs. So far I am still struggling with the mix and how to place it properly. It's a bit too mushy and does not quite have the sense of scale I'm looking for.
    Anyway.
This is a fun doodle, like the soundtrack to an 80s cartoon about horror and mad scientists.

  • Week 19 - ModuLoBro - Charismatipragmatistic
    Deluge only
So tell me: Do I just consistently make my drums too loud?
Getting closer and closer to the type of pluck sound I want
Struggling on and off re: finding the time for WB, and making something that doesn't sound thrown together or half-arsed or box-check-y. For now, I'm gonna keep going!
One of the synths sounded a big like Colbert's eagle cry, so I had ta.
Teaching semester just ended so there's that....
As always, much love to all of you weekly beaters!

  • Week 19 - Sir Bunting - D4NW8NW6EUR19UF5
The scale this week is... "Untitled Nonatonic 2"...
I dont think it has any cultural significance with a name like this. Anyway this week was extremely bad for me, a time of significant life upheaval, so I'm giving the track a glitch name to make it easier to look back on later. Early May is so cursed for me. I already associated it with a bad paralysis I had in the past and now something else has happened too on like the same exact day

  • Week 19 - Jackmsimpson - Bend and Break Me
    The return of sad-emo-jangle!
Really liked writing this one. It was one of those tracks that kind of falls out of you - jamming a chord progression and then some lyrics and a melody kind of come out of nowhere... half an hour later, the bulk of a song is written.
Still in open C, but with a slight tweak, with the highest string tuned to a D... no reason. I don't even remember doing it... but I like it.
Thanks as always for listening - any and all comments welcome!
    Lyrics:
    Im staring at the ceiling
Think what do i believe in
All those words you used to say
When I try to shout out loud
    Whispers come out
    It's always the same
All those places that we went
    I dream of it again
    To go back some day
And if I ever feel the truth
    The fullness of you
    I know I'll stay
    We'll drive ourselves crazy
    Caught up in a daydream
    Bend and break me
    ...
    Holding onto hope again
    Push the walls further away
    Be worth saving
Clear my mind open my heart
    Ready to start
    Ready to feel something
    Another breath another day
    An empty moment away
    To forget The pain
    I keep thinking of you
I dream that it is true
    I want to stay
    We'll drive ourselves crazy
    Caught up in a daydream
    Bend and break me
    Mega-jangle-break
    We'll drive ourselves crazy
    Caught up in a daydream
    Bend and break me

  • Week 19 - sl33pwzrdzones - Aegis
    Hey all, been a while.
Life hit pretty hard ngl. I lost my dog to cancer and that wrecked me pretty hard. And during that time I got in and out of a pretty stressful relationship. Mix that with the insanity that is my day job and I was way too cooked to create.
I even bought a 7-String guitar a couple months ago but was struggling to be in the headspace to sit down and play it. I finally got a decent creative spark recently though. And while idk if Im out of the woods of f*ckery just yet at least feeling able to express it in my favorite medium and for that I am grateful.
    Enjoy.

  • Week 19 - davelacorneille - The Winding Road
We are shaped by loss and change.
Each ending asks us to let go of who we once were.
The path forward is uncertain and often lonely.
Yet we keep walking into the unknown.

  • Week 19 - Bearcage - Bones
After promising myself I was taking a break from acid basslines, I've made another acid techno track 🤦🏻
Ah well... At least I like this one
Made a 1 bar bass sequence on T-8, sampled into the M8, chopped & then added extra cutoff & resonance in the FX lane... And extra overdrive creeping in later in the track
