Some kinda space folk!

My daughter had recorded the original theme on our digital piano two years ago and I discovered it this week, I asked her if I could use it for weekly beats and she was very happy for me to!

Tried something new this week and recorded vocals to a track. All vocals recorded on the M8 mic.

Apologies to my wife for interrupting her video game to make her sing harmonies on the couch :)

You know those days nothing works out? Well that was this weekend for me, I got sick and the muscles in my arms are so sore from working out to much I've been walking around like a T-rex since Friday. I had to cancel all the socially fun things and I was stressing about weekly beats and how to finish a project while I couldn't stretch my arms. I put on some warming gel and was able to play guitar this evening. I had an idea for a song but it didn't work out so I made a new version of the song For Belle which I made years and years ago for a friend of mine and I recorded it previously for WB24 also under the name New Majula.

It seemed simple enough but Ableton BPM automation and warped audio had to make this so much more complicated... Did learn a lot though.

Anyway enough bitching, I did my weekly beats, bit sloppy guitar work but it'll have to do. Like David Goggins would say: STAY HARD!

I wanted to try making a house track this week. In the end I was really overwhelmed overall and didn’t have much fun making music so I took what I had and uploaded it.

Not every week can go well, I have to accept that. ^^

Sorry I haven't listened to many tracks or commented these last few weeks…

Pretty meh on this week's submission, but submitting it anyway to keep the streak!

Did a last minute jam on Perkons with my modular setup. My favorite part is probably the audio rate panning modulation that I bring in on the bass about halfway through. Threw it all into Ableton and added a little reverb and compression.

Kudos to everyone else still keeping it up!

Hanging in the studio on a lazy Sunday just trying to make some sleazy sawtooth acid. Performed live on a Mackie, with drum mutes and minor tweaks executed underway. Slightly rearranged the drums in Ableton in post. Finally smashed everything hard with Drum Buss, Devil Loc and compressors.

Acid bass line:

- Standard Doepfer modules (SEM filter, OSC, ADSR, VCA, S&H, etc)

- Music Thing Modular Spring reverb (with S&H gating)

- Had fun modulating the A-141-2 VCADSR with velocity / S&H for some added squelch

Drums:

- Standard RD8 folk music beat

- AKG spring reverb
