Omg I almost didnt make it this week, I couldn't really find time to sit down and produce a track so I quickly speedrunned making it on sunday. Some sort of a soundtrack-like thingy came out of it. Its a bit low effort (i think) but I'll try to make it up next week!

I recently heard a few different tracks with tempo variation, so I wanted to try to mess with tempo for this weeks submission. Its a pretty trivial switch, but I think it mostly works. This is another track I didn't start until the weekend, but after finding a vocal sample to chop up a bit, I kinda got into a groove and made this track. I went pretty bass heavy, especially at the down tempo part, and went all over with the higher pitched synths. Everything gets a bit lost in the bass towards the middle, but I still kinda like how it turned out.

Synths and start/end drums are all from the M8, but the drums switch to a few samples towards the downtempo part.

this is a spontaneous blarp of poor excuses to use a vibrophone vst after which I bolted on some more piano crap, bass and guitar at the end. I think some of the percussion stuff sounds like I stole it from Juan Esquivel but nowhere near as good. But, at least I showed up.

New vst from Teletone checks in on the kit as well.

Life caught up with me so wasn't able to submit anything last week. But I managed to put this together this week, was hoping to write lyrics over it but ran out of time and have other projects I need to focus on so this one is Finished.

The weekly challenge is starting to get difficult now; each week I feel like I come up with a skeleton of a song that could be built upon later (but probably won't), while still bumping up against the same technical hurdles that I don't know how to resolve. Recently I've been writing songs as a kind of creative journal to process current events rather than focusing too much on the details of it.

This song I struggled with balancing and cleaning up the bass...I always like bass sounds and put too many in and end up with mud puddle. It could probably also use some vocals/lyrics.
