Another prompt this week, this time by parfaitfair, who wanted "wall of sound shoegaze". Not sure it's that, but the guitars are quadruple tracked and changing every section, so it's definitely something. Gotta keep watching your pedals. Slapped on some bass, some drums, some chiptune "vocals", a secret piano. Nothing special.

I'm sure it'll please someone. It pleased me listening back to it.

ravaged by outages and lack of time this week.

this started with acoustic instruments and somehow ended up here.

not super happy with this, but maybe there's something in there, esp in the soundscape.

feels a lot more smooshed on wb too.  oh whale.

Instrument X has been making waves this week so I tried out layering solo parts sequenced in it with sampled sections. As a realism layer, it works pretty damn great! Fairly simple harmony in this one.

Week 35.."Back 2 The Old School"

Lurked out making this after work on Friday with the help of my gf.

Fine tuned it Saturday morning for what I could, then messed with it, while I was off my face, till it was unrepairable. Went back to my original idea and changed what I could in time.

Tried some different mixing techniques to get a different sound. Desperately in need of fresh ears to really hear it. That's all, thanks for listening hope all is well.

This week was a bit of a tough one IRL, so I didn't have time to really start anything until late in the week.

I was restless on Friday night, so I woke up around 4AM and banged out about half of this track, fell asleep and forgot about it completely until later in the day. Gave it a little polish and it turned out as this track.

I didn't really go out of my comfort zone or anything for this one, but I think it turned out alright.
