After playing with the idea of this collab for months we finally did one!! Me and Muhamor tagged together for 2 tracks this week! He suggested a similar approach to what AiDeRen and NeonLiminal did before where we would be starting a track on our own and then swap the bundles to work on the other track and then swap back to finish it and I thought it was a really fun way to do a collabo :)

So this is the track that I started and then Muhamor added a section in the second drop that I then finalized before rendering, I enjoyed every bit of the challenge cause I could learn a lot from him and was very impressed by his way of producing and using the m8, is so cool to be able to just share the bundle and learn this way!!

Also I've been using some of the new goodies we got with the latest firmware and damn I love the new hypersynth shapes, finally able to make something more chill an vibey with chords is a breeze, I tried to keep the sample usage to a minimum to push myself a bit more into using everything the m8 could offer. This one took me two weeks. It started with a very chill elevator'ish music, but I couldn't stop myself from adding more and more uncanny sounds & energy. I'm trying hard to progress in my ability to use sequencing effects on the m8, so it might be a bit over the top sometimes. Sorry <3

I was away for most of this week, so very limited vocals. Basically me doing a breathing exercise of "ha,ha,ha ha" that i used in the background and a little "Bring us up to the other side". I did wanna do more, but kinda got messy. Oh well, so many lessons learned!

The good news, is I learned some new garageband skills, which I didn't realize you could make your own short loops >.<  I had been making long compositions...  So it was a fun time taking the different synthesizers and having full say over what they did, and then using a few samples of kick drums.

Part of my goal to deconstruct a cascada dance song and make it my own. I'm gonna keep working on that.

round 8 of the 2026 monthly emily collab! low energy (but fun/ informative/ inspiring) bed-in recording session this week.

i wrote some lyrics that kinda provided a spark for us to get started. saturday evening we built the track on emily's laptop with loops & musical typing in garageband. sunday after cicadas and coffee we recorded our vocals live together using the laptop mic. i was curious to see emily's mix/ master process (i'm in awe of her mixes, especially the low end), so she did the heavy lifting in that department this week, with input from me. since we worked on the mix together we decided to both post the same mix.
