Have you ever played the ttrpg The Witch is Dead?

How far would you go to get your dear sweet witch back?

This is the second song created for the game, the first being Witch Hut Refrain.

The first melody sets the mood of the party sneaking around the human village, and the second them discovering and entering the witch hunter's home.

The one-shot is scheduled for later today, wish us luck on getting some eyes.

I got the creepy vibe that I was looking for but struggled with how to resolve the first melody.

So I started a second more menacing melody and then got stuck on that one too lol.

Routine needs to come back... Kids are going back to school next week, I am back to work myself since last monday.

So this week was... It wasn't tough, but it was out of my comfort zone again, and I've been again, travelling a lot. So upon my weekend 'What to do for beats?' I felt, well, maybe I would enjoy making doom metal. so... here we are.

Playing at slow tempos is really not my happy place, nor is 'the riff' but honestly, the hardest part was the drums... trying to beef up the samples I use, and work out simple but doom-y patterns.

I also absolutely ran out of time on the art as well :D Anyway.. day off work tomorrow! need a lie in and a reset.

Okay, this was a bit of a rushed job. I am away for a conference in Zurich and finished this track in the train. I did some quick and dirty mixing and mastering in my hotel room. It will have to do.

Overall, I had didn't get to invest a lot of time in WB this week. I had something going that made me go 'meh' and I committed to it, because there was no time to start multiple projects anyway.

It has a fade-out. I thought it fitted the mood, but now I am in doubt again. Too late!

Fast gothic-electro to play WipEout to, maybe? At around 180bpm it's certainly fast. And the opening melody is reminiscent of a certain caped crusader. That wasn't intentional, but it's how my finger landed on the MS20m. And I decided to go with it as this is speedtrashing on Sunday. Quickly recording this track layer for layer. With a  "This sounds alright, let's go with it!"-attitude. Responding to the previous layers. No time for mixing this week. So it sounds bit more receded than I'd like. But overall I think it turned out alright, what do you think?
