Some electronic production to pass the time. Had to be patient making this one since I had somewhat of a clear vision of what I wanted. It wasn't coming out in just a day's session - so I had to come back to it a couple times throughout the week to see it through.

The afib unfortunately hit 3 times this week.  The creative feels were zapped & nowhere to be found.

Saturday night I turned on the keys just in case.

Then on my second try I accidentally stumbled upon a familiar chord feel that led to an accidental ending that I don’t think I could have recreated at a later date.  The end was a happy accident because my hands were starting to slip on the keys and for a brief moment took a left toyn at alburqueue for the chord progression.  Thank you Ableton Capture feature. 

Then the fib said “hey buddy it’s 4am Sunday, sleep can wait, it’s time to finish your noodle!”. 

By the time I was done the fib had departed for another day

To think I used to force myself to play on the grid.  Fearing if it wasn’t loopable it wasn’t good.  Pffft. Silly Ginger. Grids are for kids!

In the City of Si they go out at sea each morning to fish the dreams of the night past. What they bring back I cannot tell, I am stuck in this district with you, with the needy and the desperate. Behind these walls are magicians and their slaves, and they control the trade.

Look at the knights with their black helmets. Not too long! Yes them. The guard the entrance to the city proper. Their eyes move on the walls, be careful. Their blades slice through stone, be very careful.

Now look at this green protrusion on the wall, with the long line of sad ones behind. It brings sustenance for a day. I have been told that some waited long enough and gained entry. I hope you are not as foolish.

I have to leave stranger, I am journeying south. They say that if you follow the coast for three days the endless sand turns from red to green and another city appears. They say your lost ones dwell there, and I believe them. Do not stay too long in Si stranger.

Was supposed to wind down this week but, ended up having a big sprint instead. 4 new songs requested for the game needed before the next compile. SFX are in for now. Made the 3 songs in a day and finished the last song the next. Luckily they were short mini-game songs. Was asked about doing a release for a new netlabel. Started re-recording my demos and mixing and mastering them for release. Sync issues w/ hardware. had to redo the process when manual sync wasn't working. Lost 3 hours of work to that. 2 songs complete. Crammed to get in my WB. Weekend full. Looking forward to being done w/ everything. Light at the end of the tunnel. Very tired. Back ground check underway. Long bike rides needed to get to cross town event w/ AL. Dinner w/ T&K and visit new apartment. Met AL's old roommate. Cried to radio show sharing cancer stories and playing songs to remember the dead, celebrate the survivors, and encourage the fighting. Scanning the airwaves on new radio w/ antenna hung off apartment balcony. Listened to a broadcast in North Africa while they interviewed an Australian artist and some people discussing bad political opinions on the local amateur bands.
