This week I've made my own take of a demo created by in_bocca_al_lupo. We're not worked together this week per se, but we started off with the same foundation. I am super eager to hear his version of this track since he wouldn't let me hear it beforehand.

Personally I went for some kind of upbeat summer vibe thing, and I got really happy during the making of this. Had some issues with the vocals during the day but got a fresh stem delivered with just about enough time to shoe-horn it in, improving the sound quite a bit imo.

A big thanks and shout out to in_bocca_al_lupo for the stems laying the foundation of this. (Maybe this week the link works. We'll see. One day...)

Hey everyone, its been quite the week… for me at least.

Good news first: my new flat where im going to move together with my girlfriend got approved / i got the contract for it this week so im super excited because it will include a spare room which is going to be my own studio space.

This is something i wanted since forever and not just a desk placed in my kitched (as it is atm) which is going to bring so much improvement to my setup and also my work environment. Im very excited for what is to come.

The bad news is that i didnt really get to do a lot for this week so this is in a very unfinished state.

Funfact, this was originally started by me in around 2013 and was initially called „Sugar Rush“ but that name already went for another release i did on here so it was renamed to candy mountain which fits it even better imo.

When i started working on this old project i tried to keep as many of the synths / sound design as it was since it felt really nice and „oldschool electro“ in a way. It mainly uses NI Massive which i havent touched in many many years so thats super fun.

The mix is kinda trash but the idea is fun. And now that its on my weeklybeats upload i have to properly mix it for my album at the end of the year anyways which i call as an absolute win because now im forced to properly finish it lmao.

Anyways, thanks for always listening to my stuff and i wish all of you a great start into the new week.

This week I unexpectedly got an opportunity to collaborate with Noisegrind Princess Chelsea for the M8 Community Jam "Cloudcover." They came up with something harsh, nasty, and speedy to burn your ears. I poured kerosene on it. We call our collective "Little Bobby Tables."

I guess you would call this style nowadays melodic techno (although I believe it is too fast for that). I started it off as something completely different, and somehow it then turned into this banging acid-y something melodic techno thing :D

my dear friend Michael and i sometimes make music as harold & wayne. i wrote this song for Michael shortly after his Mom passed on a few years back. we were finally able to record it this past week when i was over house-sitting at my folks' place.

it felt appropriate to record outside on their little back deck area, so i set up a few mics and we tracked our guitar & vocal tracks live together. a cardinal even showed up to join in while we were recording - magic!

a bossy bluejay had to throw in his 2 cents too :)

i later added bass, doubled my original acoustic part and pulled the mix together. hope you enjoy listening. i really love playing & singing with Doty.
