Back to some cinematic type stuff. The apples were likely tainted.

I used a fair amount of synth for this one: Arturia Augmented Yangtze, Iridium, M8x, Osmose, and a two plugins on the MPC. Drum kit is a Yurt Rock.

Huge hypersynth update this last week on M8 - I had 7 instances rolling at the same time with the different shapes.  So much fun, I'm pretty sure I'm running into some phasing issues, but still sounds great - I'll poke around in a daw next week and find out.  Also turned the M8 into a pocket warmer but it hung in there.  All tracked and mixed on M8.

Game work is wrapping. Hardest/busiest month is winding down from biggest parts. Major tasks for separate projects slowing down post MAGWest. looking forward to having weekends again. Starting to think about circling back to work on more long term life projects. More space. Made over 35 SFX over 3 days plus additional variants for them. not sure how many in total but, guessing around 60. Feeling good about that. Just have a few more core bits and I am done. Lots of fun stuff hard to edit down ideas sometimes. Handed as much as possible off for latest test build. Finally getting to normal sleeping habits again.

Met w/ friends for dinner. Got P some iced cream and gave him some popper fire crackers to throw for being good. Lent Dungeon Crawler Carl book from K. Talked with K about pregnancy and new apartment. Kickin baby now. R&L caught us up on P and their lives. AL and I took extra walk for health. Bought a radio after loosing an auction. Looking into getting technician license for amateur radio. Random call from AC and TC. Talked about him reading comics before call dropped.

Weekend visit at dad's memorial bench in pacific grove. First time going w/o brother. Called him so he could join us from texas briefly. Handed toy camera around for people to take turn taking dumb photos. Uncle DT came out from Chicago. All aunts and mom of course. G also came and helped do some maintenance and stain bench. Talked w/ cousins. E and E doing well. J came out w/o M. Seems to be ok. Proud of them. Teased mom about meeting G w/ aunts. Poked at how she doesn't like to feel vulnerable and so hides feelings sometimes. Pointed out about life choices ignoring advice led to meeting my wife. Good fun love seeing family. DT and LT shared about latest misfortunes. Listened and contemplated life's struggles w/ them. Drove home and knocked out.

Last minute upload. 10 minute track. Tight on time but end in sight. Hardest parts over. Just playing w/ Arpeggios, sine waves, and noise. Stuck into a tape emulation for color. Used a few random control modulations to mix up parts and speeds. Drew in some fades. Hit render w/o listening back to the full song and called it a day.

I could have picked up an old unfinished beat and claimed I did it all this week, or I could start from scratch and make a beat in an hour.

Love how quickly you can do some of these techniques though today.

As always, another week another beat, hope whoever listens enjoys. It took 5 beats that barely had anything for them to reach this one track. Though I had a lot of fun making this one, grabbed a vocal from a vinyl I got. Went for a house/disco vibe, and I think it came out good.
