Sort of a continuation of last week, a little more 'songlike' than last time but still kind of comprised of a few ideas, back half turns into something of a classic 90s house/techno song.

Using OPL in Furnacetracker to keep sound design choices simpler to focus more on getting ideas out; chords, keys, rhythms, that sort of thing.

quick live loop/improv bass clarinet to get back into the recording routine. Mic'ing the bc is hard! I replicated my live setup and realized for the nth time how imperfect it is.

...Then I added some recordings from my backyard circa February of this year. I reside on the ancestral lands of the Nisenan indigenous humans and the Sierran treefrog indigenous amphibians.

This week's exercise was combining the Digitone II and the Digitakt II to make something. The Digitakt II controls the Digitone II via synced clock. I also tried out song mode, which greeeeaaaaatly assisted with getting a recording ready. Started out with the bass instrument and I guess I got pulled in a creepy crawly direction, and here we are! No major complaints with this piece. Would have added a little more variation, detail, cleaned up some of the elements, but it's fine!

ok. so, i don't know about y'all, but i listen to my own music a lot and having the WB album (so far) end with last weeks track... the last line really stuck out to me as being something i could futz with. so, futz with it i did! another busy week gave me not a lot of time to build but enough time to have some fun, so have fun i did! in the spirit of the vibe of last week, i tried to bring a 'UK remix' style to this, but honestly, i have no idea what that even means, so what follows is whatever i think 'UK remix' means i guess. ANYWAY. as always, thanks for the support and i hope y'alls week was wonderful. here's to next week!
