Neon "Matt" Liminal!

This collaboration stemmed from my previous collab with his friend Crash Overture, who suggested someone she knew might be interested to collab some day, had no idea they knew each other, and I just went for as Neon Liminal is one of my favorite WBer.
And... what a week!
As we're both Dirtywave M8 users, we decided on Monday to each start a track, then swap bundles every day until Friday.
From Friday to Sunday, we worked on our respective tracks, continuing where the other had left off, to finalize them before the deadline.
Additionally, this month's challenge from Jeremy "Read Means Recording" Blake's Discord is "ambient/dub techno", so we went with that genre.
Needless to say, having no previous experience in this genre, what I started sounded like neither ambient nor dub techno, and it was only thanks to Neon Liminal's great work on lush textures and arrangement that it turned out the way it did. 🙏
Collaborating with such a seasoned, versatile, efficient, and attentive artist as Matt was enthralling, fulfilling, exhilarating, and a lot of other complicated words that would have a hard time conveying the wonderful feelings this collaboration gave me.
Through our back-and-forth exchanges, seeing how and what he did was like taking a course on Gear 5.
Also, I will always be in awe of the ease with which he transformed both of our tracks each day, his attention to vibe and atmosphere, and his great sense of arrangement when building tension and release.
All in all, Matt is a great listener, a passionate teacher (taking an hour to show the ropes of Ozone and sharing some mastering knowledge) and an awesome human being. 10/10 would recommend.
It was a pleasure and an honor to do this collab with him.
Hope he got something out of it more than just babysitting me, ha ha.

This week was also part 2 of the fourth(!) unofficial WB-friendly sample challenge (details on Discord): the composing week, following a week of gathering samples (during week 33) from no fewer than ten awesome WB contributors.
I would have loved to incorporate more samples, but it proved a bit difficult with the track swapping (I only realized on Saturday that I hadn't used any of them in MY track).
