I really am out of words, with everything in boxes or soon to be boxes. It is a strange feeling not having a destination, it feels a bit rudderless. Sometimes calm and sometimes a storm. Soon I will be blowing again, not sure when the studio will be back out of boxes. It took almost 3 years the last time and it was about 3 years before that. Who knows.

Just been playing around with Logic and stock sounds. I did install Zebra 3. The session player is interesting not sure I am a huge fan. I am looking for a portable interface (apogee or RME) and a decent but cheapish guitar to travel with. Will have to dust off the m8.

I expect to be moved in the next few weeks, until then just playing around with Logic seeing if I like it.

Again this book has found its way out of my head as my piece this week. The book is by Selma Sucil, Book 1 of the Subguardians called the Manifesto of the Black Eels. I don't want to spoil it for you and tell you too much. I think about it several times a week, and and really hoping that Book 2 is on it way. 

I had in mind a simple melody, quarter notes and half notes.  The Celeste gives it a childlike feeling, innocence lost, yet a feeling of a stronger self growing up into you. As if you have quietly decided to smile into every crisis.

I'm running a one shot with a group of friends and wanted to get something together to set the mood.

Strings and chorus are playing the role of the background familiars, with the woodwinds and brass taking turns plotting on what to do next.

A plan is plotted and the familiars are off to the village for a little bit of murder (wish them luck).

I'm currently beta testing an iOS port of picoTracker called GlassTracker and it's already tied in first place with Koala as my favorite tool to make music on. It's got everything I love about these LSDJ-style trackers, plus added quality of life features like being able to use AUv3 instruments and efx along with a hybrid key/ touch interface (plus a ton more).

This week I made two demo tracks using GlassTracker and couldn't decide which one I wanted to submit this week, so I went with undecided.
