This week felt like getting blood from a stone, but the streak continues! I was finally able to figure out my DAW issues from the week before and "solved" it by unplugging my midi keyboard. I don't really use it that much anyway so I'm calling it a "solution" for now until I decide I actually want to learn how to use it.

Another ambient experiment. This one was done on the OPXY. Something to drift to sleep.

Technique notes: I went in a different direction this week and experimented with creating an IDM style track. To begin, I set up a drum machine with a Beat Map player, which I used several LFOs to modulate. I then added a secondary percussion machine by creating a Combinator with several different Noise Engineering rack units and some effects with a line mixer.

Afterwards, I added a pad, which I duplicated to create a pulsing element. I then added a motif to bring in and began to mix, mainly bringing tracks in and out.

After EQing, I set up the mastering and exported the track.

Had 0 will to start today, as I had a pause of basically 2 months from making music. Stared at the screen for hours, then as soon as I turned off the computer this came to mind and I tried to arrange it in a few hours.
