This week I had the pleasure of hosting Jaquelynn Wolfheart who has an inspiring and unique story of adversity and perseverance. I do want to give everyone a heads up that she touches on topics of sexual and physical child abuse so be aware if that's a trigger for you. We were also having such a great conversation that we veered off on a few topics, so I tried to clip everything together chronologically for listening purposes and apologize if it jumps around a bit. We also touch on my hip replacement story which I’ll share more in my solo episode coming in a few weeks.
In this episode, Jacquelynn discusses how food became a coping mechanism for the challenges of her childhood and how those habits followed her into adulthood. In her 20s, she worked for the band Linkin Park on tour and this caused her weight to yo-yo as she struggled to find a healthy routine. Just when she thought things were about to settle down in her life, she was diagnosed with MS. Despite that, with the right diet and fitness routine she was able to lose 68lbs. and manage her symptoms.
