Jingle your bells and deck your halls because this week we're going to have some fun while not only exploring the origins of the holiday, but also taking a look at some of the weirdest traditions from around the globe. Nuts a roasting and mistletoe shenanigans are going to seem like the most sane things in the world after this one. We will be taking a week off but don't worry, we'll be back on January 5th, 2021 with a new season of the weirdest shit we can find. In order to cover everyone, we want to wish Happy Holiday's, no matter what you celebrate. Be safe and as always, keep your mind open.

Back in school, it seemed like we were constantly being taught things that we thought we were never going to use. While some of us did actually go into careers where the Pythagorean Theorem is being applied in every day life, most of us never have and never will use it. What if one of the more silly things we were taught, like stop, drop and roll, could actually save your life. Personally, I've never caught on fire but after this weeks episode, I think I just might start carrying a fire extinguisher with me at all times.

What if there was a way to avoid danger? What if we all had a warning system in place that could help us stay away from bad situations? In today's episode, that is exactly what we're going to be discussing. Whether you call gut feeling, instinct or divine intervention, sometimes listening to your inner voice just might save your life.

Every year 600,000 adults are reported missing the U.S. alone. Just about everyone has heard of Amelia Earhart or Jimmy Hoffa but the fact is that nearly all of them are normal everyday people like you. Today, we're going to look into a few of these cases, that despite hours of security camera footage, remain unexplained.

Imagine, one day your walking through a park, just relaxing and taking in the beautiful weather. As you amble along, a seemingly shaken man approaches you and starts to worriedly ask you dozens of questions about the name of the town, country, maybe even the name of the planet. His use of the language that you speak is broken. It's close but not quite right. As you try to calm the man, he starts to explain that none of what you're telling him is right. Maybe it's the name of the city or maybe even the words you use are words that he's never heard in his life. History is full of stories very similar to this one. The more I dig into these crazy tales the less sure I am that as scientific theories are tested and technology advances, we just might find the key that unlocks the door to parallel dimensions.

South Carolina is a beautiful state. On the east side, you could go, kick back and relax on the Myrtle Beach boardwalk. Take in some amazing ocean scenery at Huntington Beach State Park, maybe even do a little fishing while you're there. If sandy beaches aren't what you're in the mood for, you could travel to the west side of the state and take a hike through the gorgeous Blue Ridge mountains. Maybe even rent a quiet cabin in the woods where you could spend the evening relaxing in a hot tub that overlooks a breathtaking valley. South Carolina seems like one of those rare places that has a little bit of everything. On your journey across the state, you might want to take care to avoid the marshy area known as Scape Ore Swamp or you just might have a life changing encounter with the Lizardman.

Horror movies are an absolute staple during October. Some people think that modern horror is the way to go while others swear that the classics will never be beaten. Personally, I think that it's kind of a mix. James Wan is, in my opinion, one of the best horror movie directors ever. At the same time I consider John Carpenter to be phenomenal when it comes to relating an absolutely terrifying tale. No matter which side you take in this particular debate there is no denying that when a movie says “based on a true story” it adds an entirely new level of creepiness. You might want to burn some sage or hold on tight to some protective crystals for this episode as we dive deep into the true story behind the Exorcist.

While everyone has a different idea of the perfect home, I'm pretty sure that the one thing that almost always remains the same is the thought of owning our own little slice of paradise. Safety, peace and quiet, enough property to do with whatever our imagination can dream up. We think of our home as being the one place where nothing can harm us. The one place where we can walk through the door, breath a heavy sigh, let go of all of the stress from the day and ultimately just relax and let our guard down. Roger and Carolyn Perron were looking for exactly that when they found the Old Arnold Estate up for sale. Thinking that they had found the perfect home for themselves and their five daughters, Damn, I thought raising one daughter was tough, the Perron's made an offer and bought the house of their dreams. Unfortunately, their dream home would become a nightmare of epic proportions that would become known as the Harrisville Haunting.
