       Pascagoula Mississippi, is a small southern town located on the Gulf of Mexico. It may not be, one stop sign, the butcher is the coroner, every modern Reese Witherspoon movie takes place there, small....but it only has around 20,000 people, so not exactly big city living. While small town living definitely has it's charm it can also mean that most everyone in the area is heavily involved in everyone's business. “Oh my gosh, (it is part of the bible belt) did you hear that Brenda's son has started smoking the marijuana?” “O-M-G-osh, I know right, I heard that Tammy's youngest has started taking NyQuil.” Now just imagine if something truly bizarre were to happen, not only would you be ridiculed by the police but in probably about 37 seconds every single person in town would be in on it as well. This is exactly what happen to two friends when they went to the police station to report that they had been abducted by aliens in what would come to be called the Pascagoula Abduction.

          Personally, I absolutely love going to antique shops and flea markets. There's just something about going through all of the stuff, some of it newer and some of it old. Every time I find an older object, I feel this inner drive to learn all that I can about what ever the thing is. Like, when was this particular toy made? How in the hell did they keep this mirror in such amazing condition for all of these years? Is this really an original copy of Moby Dick signed signed by the author that just so happens to be worth a billion dollars? The number of treasures that you can find among the dusty shelves is truly awesome. Every once in a great while we might come across a particular item that for some strange reason, we absolutely have to have. This would prove to be an irreversible mistake for a woodworking shop owner when he purchased some random items from an estate sale. One of these items was the Dybbuk Box.

    In 2002, a movie called The Ring was released. It told the story of a girl that had been thrown into a well and then came back as a vengeful spirit that chose her victims via a video tape. Once someone watched the video, they would get a call saying that they would die in seven days. While it did make for some pretty gory death scenes, as a whole idea, to me at least, was pretty ridiculous. That's why it was kind of mind blowing and all together exciting when I discovered that the film was loosely based on an actually event, The Legend of Okiku.

          It feels like it's pretty safe to say that most of us have, at one point or another, tried to contact someone from the other side. Maybe we were at a sleepover at a friends house when somebody decided that it would be a good idea to play with an ouija board. Or, maybe some of us took it a little further and got together with the sole purpose being to have a séance. To willfully try to connect with a certain spirit. The world of the paranormal comes with dozens and dozens of questions with no real answers. Did a spirit or demonic entity actually just move the planchette, or maybe it was the innocent spirit of the little boy who died of an illness in that particular house. For some in the field of parapsychology, this question was answered in the early 1970's by a study called the Philip Experiment.

There are over 7 billion people in the world today. Many people believe that at any given time there are roughly 7 human beings walking around that look exactly like you. With those numbers, that gives you approximately a 0.0000001% chance of actually meeting one of your twins. But what if you're away on vacation, taking a scenic walk, enjoying the sights of a new place when, all of a sudden, the hair on your neck and arms stands up as an ice cold chill runs down your spine. As you look around, you notice a person coming towards you that looks strangely familiar. As they get closer and closer you realize that they look a lot like you....wait, they don't look a lot like you.....they are you, or more accurately, your doppleganger.

The internet is arguably the single greatest invention in human history. We can reach out to and connect with people all over the world in an instant. We can research any topic that our minds can dream up. We can listen to our favorite band or song no matter how new or how old it may be and we can play it over and over until we can't get it out of our heads. I'm looking at you Rick Astley. LOL. We can also find just about any movie ever made. Sometimes though, as we sift through the endless pages of entertainment we can quite possibly find ourselves getting a glimpse into the darkest corners of the web where every once in a while we might stumble upon a series of cursed videos.

Today we're going to stick around Europe and visit a small town called Ossett located in the United Kingdom. Ossett is located in between Dewsbury to the west and Wakefield to the east. It has a population of around 21,000 people. So basically, it's big enough for a Wal-Mart but maybe not big enough for a Target. That's a reference for us in the colonies. LOL. Sorry, had to throw that in there. Anyway, it truly seems like a picturesque town that is perfect for raising a family. Michael and Christina Taylor absolutely agreed, that is until Michael started to exhibit signs that could only be described as symptoms of someone suffering from demonic possession.

Today, we're taking a little trip across the pond. England is one of the oldest continually functioning countries ever. While most Americans tend to think of overcast skies and more than their fair share of rain, the country is also known for some of the most beautiful scenery found on earth. After spending some time on different sites covering some of the strangest legends from all over the globe I came across an old Celtic legend of a household spirit which can be helpful or malevolent. It can be attached to a particular piece of property or a particular person. As this entity made it's way into English folklore it became known as the Boggart.

Late one Friday night, your sitting alone in your living room, lights turned off, maybe watching a scary movie with a bowl of popcorn. Seemingly out of nowhere, you catch a glimpse out of the corner of your eye. Did someone just walk through the room? Why didn't you hear any foot steps? Why did they look blacker than the darkness? Crushing fear reigns down over you like a cold shower. This is the most common reaction people report after having an experience with shadow people.

New Jersey is one of those rare states where you can find bustling metropolises nestled in the middle of endless miles of countryside. Personally I always thought that the whole state was all about “hey, how you doin?” and “say hello to your mother for me” LOL. Kidding, just kidding. While the state is known for having a big city feel, it also has a slower side filled with many acres of farmland where you might pass by Bernard's Township. But, maybe Jersey is a little too far north for you, in which case you could take a trip a little farther south. For most people, when they think of Florida, scenic beaches and beautiful ocean waves are the first things that come to mind. You could drive along the coast, maybe visit Disneyland or continue driving all the way down to the keys. On your way down the east coast, as you pass Daytona Beach, you'll come across yet another beautiful coastal town called Port St. Lucie. On the surface it seems like an ideal town for the perfect vacation, maybe take a scenic hike along one of the states many canals, particularly canal C-24. Whether you take the scenic back roads of New Jersey or follow the east coast highway in Florida, you'll find a Devil's Tree.
