IN THIS EPISODE: (Dark Archives episode with stories from Nov 02, 2018) *** The legend said it was made of clay, and given life by mystical means. The Jews created it as a means of protection – so the story goes, at least. We’ll look at the legend of the golem – and see if there is any truth behind it. (The Golem) *** In the 1860’s, John Mudd found some letters that he wouldn’t publish for more than fifty years – because what he read in those letters terrified him. (Strange Sea Creatures) *** In 1936 a series of holdups escalated into armed robbery and eventually murder, all carried out by a trio of teens. (The Baby Bandits of San Francisco) *** It is Abraham Lincoln who issued the Emancipation Proclamation, freeing the slaves. But did he get the idea for this historic legislation from beyond the grave? (Lincoln’s Messages From Beyond) *** In 1866, a woman named Laura Foster was murdered. A man named Tom Dula was convicted and hanged for the crime. The crime now lives on, in one of the most famous folk songs ever recorded. (Hang Down Your Head Tom Dooley) *** During the Kentucky Meat Shower Of 1876, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs was real life when meat purportedly poured from the heavens. (The Kentucky Meat Shower 1876) *** People sometimes say they experience a kind of floating, weightless feeling when in bed – but one man’s bed floated all the way to the ceiling. (Bed Rising) *** Some say this is a nothing short of a miracle, while others are downright dubious. A unique Bible, continues to spew out an unidentified oil – and so far, scientists are unable to explain it. (Miracle Bible Dripping Oil) *** We may or may not ever see an actual alien invasion of our planet. But if we do, scientists are now saying the extraterrestrials would not be here to eat us – and they explain why. (To Serve Man)

HOUR ONE: Find one of the most eccentric men you can, allow them to move into a rundown cottage and fix it up as they like, filling it with trinkets, doodads, and costumes, and you have the makings of amazing town gossip… and some eerie tales that remain many years later. (The Cotswolds Ghost) *** It’s hard to believe, but the terms “psychopath” and “sociopath” aren’t usually listed in medical reference resources and texts. Instead, they are labeled as “Antisocial Personality Disorders”. That’s a pretty friendly and noncommittal way of describing a serial killer. No wonder we don’t know if psychopaths come from nature or nurture. (Psychopaths: Born or Made?) *** Plus, I’ll tell you about a man who outlived his entire family – but that’s not the amazing part of his life. The amazing part is all of the things he lived through that should have killed him! (The Unbreakable Mr. Talkington) *** AND MORE!

HOUR TWO: He voice, music and even look was loved by millions, he was adored by women, admired by men. The death of Elvis Presley sent shockwaves around the world. But once the tears began to dry, the conspiracies began to rise, with some wondering if Elvis may in fact have faked his own death just to escape the never-ending spotlight of fame. (The Life, Death, and Undeath of Elvis Presley) *** Elon Musk, the man with the dream of taking us to Mars, was born on June 28th, 1971 – but 22 years before Elon was born, it was written that Elon (mentioned by name) would be in a leader on Mars. Hard to believe, but it’s true. (The Prophecy of Wernher Von Braun) *** “The Virginia Plantation Haunted by Boy Scouts” *** AND MORE!

IN THIS EPISODE: Canada is full of folklore and legend – but one of the darkest is the Wendigo… and there are numerous, terrifying stories of encounters with the creature. (Wendigo: The Classic Canadian Cryptid) *** James Rainey was a manly man, unafraid of no one – until that is he killed his fiance, everybody knew he did, and he ran like a coward. Not that it did him any good. (A Cowardly Lover) *** A man has a strange encounter with an alien in Germany, and in an odd way ends up playing a game of catch with it – using an eerie, transparent ball. (Polish Man Meets German ET) *** They labeled him “The French Ripper” – and to this day, we still have no idea how many victims were killed by Joseph Vacher during his bloody reign of terror in 19th century France. (The French Ripper) *** The story of Edward Mordrake is fascinating and horrifying – with the poor man having an evil face growing on the back of his head that he said he could converse with, and that said horrible things to him. But how much of the story is true, and how much of it is pure fabrication? (The Legend of Edward Mordrake)

IN THIS EPISODE: Just because the Ouija board is made by a board game manufacturer does not mean it should be treated like a toy – as many have discovered. The similar game, Charlie Charlie seems more innocent – but is so dangerous that in one school where children were playing it, they had to call in an exorcist. And you never know when playing any of these types of games what kind of spirit you might be inviting into our realm – but I can tell you this…. It’s never good. They might pretend to be good, but that’s far from the truth. And one particular demon has found notoriety through the Ouija board community, a demon you don’t want to risk opening a door for. It’s name is Zozo.

IN THIS EPISODE: We’re used to seeing someone on television or in movies die from a gunshot or stabbing, knowing they were just pretending – that the gun was using blanks, or the knife was using a retractable blade. But what we don’t often hear are the times that those prop weapons end up killing someone for real. (Death By Movie Prop) *** How can a little girl disappear in a big crowd of people with no one seeing anything? Was it a case of stranger danger or did someone she know betray her trust? We’ll look at the case of Beverly Rose Potts who went missing in 1951, never to be seen again. (Peril in the Park for Beverly Potts) *** Part medicine, part honey, part cannibalism… who or what was the mellified man? (The Mellified Man) *** They say that tragedy can change a person forever… and that couldn’t be more true for one man who went from being considered lucky, to becoming deranged after a horrible accident, (The Hidden Wounds of Mr. Schultz) *** Famous last words. Humphrey Bogart said, “I should have never switched from Scotch to martinis.” Winston Churchill’s last words were simply, “I’m bored with it all.” But sometimes what a person says on their deathbed can be shocking or outlandish – even if they aren’t a celebrity. We’ll look at a few unexpected deathbed moments. (Deathbed Moments) *** Children dying in their sleep while having terrible nightmares. It’s not just a movie plot from a Wes Craven film – it really happened, and inspired the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. (The Terrifying True Syndrome That Inspired A Nightmare on Elm Street)

IN THIS EPISODE: (Dark Archives episode with stories from October 29-November 01, 2018) *** Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti, the Abominable Snowman… unexplained and unproven two-legged hairy beasts are seen all over the world. But there is another strange hairy ape like creature in North America that doesn’t get the same amount of press – but is just as mysterious and frightening as the others. (The Mysterious Devil Monkeys of North America) *** Weirdo family member Danny Rendon tells the true story of… (The Horror on Harbor Lights Drive) *** For over a century, mysterious lights were seen bobbing up and down along the railroad tracks near Maco Station, a few miles west of Wilmington, North Carolina. To this day no one knows what they were. (The Maco Light) *** The tragic Tina Resch case started with the claims of a poltergeist haunting… and ended with the death of a child. (The Tina Resch Poltergeist Case) ***
Weirdo family member Alana describes her childhood home where she heard strange footsteps and banging on doors when no one was home, and a crucifix which refused to stay upright. (The Fallen Crucifix) *** An Australian man tells of a fishing trip where he and a couple of friends come across what appears to be a Yowie or Bigfoot… but more humanlike. (The Hairy Man of Kowmung River) *** Haunting the historic Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia are eerie tales of anguished soldiers, an eternal watch dog, and one hideous vampire with jagged teeth and hanging skin. (The Ghosts of Richmond’s Hollywood Cemetery) *** Were Jack the Ripper’s victims killed to cover up a Royal scandal? (The Royal Ripper Conspiracy) *** We’ll look at several cases of reported poltergeist activity and try to determine if it’s supernatural, human in nature, or possibly a little of both. (Poltergeists)
