Welcome To Meet You

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

What is music production!? What does a producer actually do!? What is “mixing”!?

Questions I know you scream…

Aaron Cupples has the answers.

He’s responsible for Kirin J Callinan’s Big Enough, co-writing, producing and mixing much of the Bravado album. Worked closely with The Drones for their Gala Mill and Feelin Kinda Free albums, Tropical Fuck Storm too. Played in Dan Kelly’s Alpha Males band, recording the album Drowning In The Fountain Of Youth (and mixed some Leisure Panic). Paul Kelly. Spiritualised. The leading man of Civil Civic and a decorated film composer too!

Hope you enjoy!

Why does God choose his most mentally ill soldiers to send on his most confronting vacations?

Guys, please stand and applaud for 1 minute unbroken to show special respect (& a renewed commitment to the mission statement) for a very “cruisy” (this will make sense when you listen) episode of TSLWDSTO!

Enjoy,

Romance, masks and the pain that keeps us vital.

Tim Rogers AKA Jack Ladder (of “Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders”) was kind enough to join, fresh on the heels of his eighth studio album, Separation Rock.

World on the brink… Can the biggest band on it save it?

Fresh from their Las Vegas “sphere” residency, U2 seem to believe so and they’re enlisting limp, uncanny music armed with clumsy lyrics that induces an experience so gob gapingly appalling it has you questioning the “right place” of their hearts.

Shades on, beanie donned, Joe Saxby (@these.guy) joins to wade the panic-inducing atmosphere of U2’s Days of Ash EP.

“I love you more than hate loves war…”

In this episode, we’re joined by photographer and multidisciplinary artist Byron Spencer.

We met Byron at Kirin J Callinan's 40th birthday party after he blew the roof off performing songs from his musical project 'DeepFaith'.

Byron is also a world renowned photographer, with a prolific and inspiring body of work.

Very interesting dude and very interesting chats. Check out his work.

Thank you Byron for your time.

Enjoy,

“Hildegard von Bingen is the 12th-Century version of what I aspire to be: She was a scientist who wrote about abortion and handed out pamphlets to the women in the community, but she was also a musician, a composer, a painter, and illustrator.”

From underground Canadian to chaotic headline, the work of Grimes AKA Claire Boucher means many to many: poptimism, pitchfork, vital experimentation and degenerative outsourcing…

Colleague and collaborator Dart Sultan joins to wax.

Hope you enjoy!
