Breeana Smith's story is an inspiring one for the fashion industry here in Australia! She grew up in South Perth and didn't even finish her business degree, instead she worked in brand management. This is where she toiled away for years learning there was no substitute for hard work, how valuable relationships in the industry were and what would stand the test of time in a cut-throat industry.
After building up the confidence, database and knowledge, her next career move was a big one... co-founding the famous footwear brand JAMES SMITH in 2014. We get an insight into her mindset and how she turned an idea into a multi-million dollar business.
Bree visited Positano in 2015 where she fell in love with an Italian restauranteur whilst at a friends wedding. Which later saw her move from Bali to the South of Italy. Her curiosity in colours and fabrics intensified as she wondered around the beautiful coastline. This is where her next big idea was born in 2019 called... L’IDEE WOMAN which is now a globally recognised brand!
Not only is this podcast for all those interested in fashion, this is also an amazing listen for those into business. Breeana is proof that if you are prepared to put in the time learning about an industry and can find a gap in the market, you can become an international sensation.
Ceinwen is the Co-Founder & Director of the annual Port to Pub event in March. Which takes off from Leighton Beach & finishes on Rottnest Island. There are team races, duos, solos & the ultra marathon race for the real crazy people which is 25km! Ceinwen talks us through some stories, stresses & rewards of running such a large scale (logistical nightmare) event in open water.
We also discuss where Ceinwen's love of swimming came from, her coaching career & her own impressive open water achievements. Crossing the English Channel in 14 degree water, doing the Rotto swim 3 times - literally getting to shore then turning back & to do it another two times that day! Plus we unpack much more of Ceinwen's story.

David is well known for his footballing career with AFL team the Essendon Bombers. We do speak about his sporting journey however the gold in this interview is his experience of- field. He has wisdom beyond his years, partly due to the amount of injuries and set backs he had to overcome, but primarily the self development & self reflection he went through in his 20s.
Dave speaks about his role at Lever Property & his thoughts on the Perth commercial market, along with his future plans at the company. We also discuss investing tactics & the reason he moved away from a career in the financial planning sector.
A fascinating deep dive into Dave's story to date whilst we sat at Cottesloe Beach on a sunny afternoon. This podcast is one for listeners interested in property, self development, investing & sport.

Fresh off the back of a clean sweep victory in the NBL finals. Fleur recounts what it's been like partying with the team this week & some highlights from the season. Making history as the first female to win a NBL championship ring.
We also discuss Fleur's back story and how much hard work went into getting that opportunity when Luc Longley called her last year, asking her to apply for the job. Her career CV is something pretty impressive with a Bachelor of science at UWA , then a PHD in health science at Notre Dame where she was the discipline head of Exercise & Sports science for 12 years as well as a researcher, lecturer & academic.
Fleur played 270 games for Cockburn Cougars, was the State WA captain under 18s & 20s winning 5 MVP awards. She has been a coach at the Perth lynx as well as the SBL commissioner.
A really enjoyable chat with a lady who prides herself on taking a real interest & care for other human beings, whether that's her players on the court or students at Uni. She is living in the present & enjoying the coaching journey so far, excited to get back to her old stomping ground in Freo shortly for some well earned down time.
