Welcome To The Hellmouth

David and Michaela bring you their second lost episode, "Unleashed". Thankfully we didn't lose another good one, and now we can put this episode on blast for a full half hour like it deserves.

Michaela and David talk about how unjustly necromancers are portrayed in television with "Just Rewards". It seems like necromancers are always "evil" or "bad guys" in shows, and we want to know why. Angel broods, Spike gives sass, and the rest of the cast is barely involved!

David and Michaela dive into Angel season 5 with "Conviction". It's one of the better season openers we've seen so far, and it takes one of the characters in a bold new direction. Good times all around! In this episode, Angel manages to not get shot by an improbable number of guns and our hosts steadfastly refuse to use a less-silly name for one of the expendable characters.

Michaela explains to David (and a small gathered throng!) what all happens in "Angel" seasons one through four. Oh boy there's a lot to talk about, especially in season four. How much of it will be relevant to the upcoming season five watch-through? None can say!

David and Michaela have decided, for reasons which cannot be scruted, to watch the 2010 action... thriller... sci-fi... movie (?) "Skyline" starring Eric Balfour. Oof-a-doof, there are many ways to pay tribute to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and this is surely one of the stranger ones.

Michaela and David are overwhelmed by emotions; this is "Chosen", the final episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer EVER (yet). There's a lot to cover here. We have a discussion about the final episode, a discussion about the final season, and then a rather rambling discussion of all things Buffy to cap it all off. Yeah, this is a frigging long one. Also there are bazillions of links to get through here, we've done our best.

This is what a bardiche is. It's much closer to what is shown in the show.

David and Michaela are so dang close! That's right, it's "End of Days", the penultimate episode of Buffy. We're excited, you're excited, we might even be ex-scythe-ted as the showdown of the First Evil vs the Best Slayer(s) commences. Also, the writers have decided that this episode is a great time to: introduce a new faction into the Buffyverse; kill off a big bad that was only introduced in the past couple episodes; bring Angel back; and attempt to manufacture some Spike drama.

Michaela and David are well into the final stretch with "Touched". It's "scythe" time in Sunnydale, and if you thought Buffy would take getting kicked out of her house well you were wrong wrong wrong. Thankfully we do get some better plans being shown off this episode, even if the Potentials are still doing things like wearing plaid pants.

David and Michaela take joy in kicking Buffy out of her own house in "Empty Places". Yes, it's an episode a lot of fans hate. We aren't hugely fond of it either, but for different reasons! No matter what your feelings are though, it's still an interesting choice to make your main character less and less likeable throughout a season.

Michaela and David get down and dirty with "Dirty Girls", one of the strongest episodes of this very fine show to ever be made. That's right, the writers have remembered that there's more than one active Slayer, and we get a Nathan Fillion thrown in at no extra cost!
