Welcome To The Hellmouth

Michaela and David welcome the darkness in with "Bring on the Night". Yessir, we're crashing straight into the traditional mid-season slump with this one folks. But all is not lost, as we see (yet again) the velour tracksuit of sadness, Joyce once again graces us with her presence and our hosts are introduced to the concept of zipper-sleeved blazers, which were once thought to only be the rantings and ravings of madmen.

David and Michaela don't leave while watching "Never Leave Me". The writer's have run out of their early-season steam and are almost palpably flagging, but then they remember that they need to explain The First Evil to everyone but the most completely dedicated watchers. Also, the Watcher's Council is back! Probably to do useful things!

Michaela and David snore through "Sleeper". Xander and Anya are both back and Spike continues a grand tradition of being mad pistach, while Buffy has questions about Spike and the audience is left with chip-related questions aplenty. Don't worry, those will all be answered in the next few (actually like 6) episodes!

David and Michaela are graced by one of the best episodes of Buffy ever, "Conversations with Dead People". Everyone's talking to someone and yet no one is talking to each other in this wacky episode; we see many familiar faces and a few fun outfits in a truly delightful episode.

Michaela and David watch an episode that's only been made once before on this very television show, "Him". Yep, it's Triple-B all over again, except this time it's worse! Wow, what an accomplishment.

David and Michaela get that sweet, sweet Anya characterization they've been craving for a while now with "Selfless". It's Anya's time to shine and she's going full-vengeance on the whole thing! Wackiness ensues involving ancient troll lovers, bloody revolution, bunnies and more!

Michaela and David take a deep dive into the #issue of teen suicide-- or do they?!?! Hell no, this is a comedic podcast. Instead, they take a look at "Help", and episode that begs the question: "didn't the show have more important plot information to divulge to us at this point?"

David and Michaela get a real spook-em-up with "Same Time, Same Place". This monster of the week ain't messing around, and this episode is kinda plot relevant (almost)! Dawn continues to defend her position as the Queen of Gloss, Buffy is baring her midriff as much as possible: the early 2000's have truly hit.

Michaela and David clear up some misunderstandings about "Beneath You". For instance, Dave seems to think that the things shown in this episode will have any sort of bearing on the rest of the season. That turns out to be untrue. But hey, at least we get to see that total smokeshow Nancy and have mild amounts of fun with Anya!
