Have you ever considered getting into Stephen King’s the Dark Tower books, but found the whopping 8 book series a bit daunting? Atul presents what he feels to be the perfect way for new readers to get into the Dark Tower in the form of Marvel’s series of graphic novel adaptations, starting with The Gunslinger Born.

Gina Carano is officially gone! Rejoice all ye haters! Seems when one work for the house of mouse, they must mind their P’s, Q’s, and subtly (and not so subtly) offensive tweets. Agree with Disney’s move? Disagree? Give the episode a listen and hear our thoughts.
We also talk about the Mortal Kombat trailer that recently dropped. We’re both floored, but I remain cautiously optimistic. In the world of trailers, we also touch on the latest trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Will this movie be released to critical acclaim? Will this fix all the on-screen problems of Joss Whedon’s Justice League (sorry Ray Fisher).
If you want to hear more about our feelings on Justice League you can check out Episode 10 – Justice League Review, and check out last weeks episode for The Mandalorian to hear more context regarding our thoughts on Gina Carano and her Cara Dune character.

We’re back and we’re talking The Mandalorian.
After a good, long, sorta-covid-fueled break, we’re back. If I’m being honest it was less the pandemic and more just life that kept us from firing up our mics and chatting about the stuff that really matters. But now we’ve found the time, we’ve found the drive, and we’re coming back at you with more Star Wars. Atul’s favorite topic.
We discuss the very popular Disney Plus series The Mandalorian. It’s been a main driver for the traffic at the streaming service which continues to put out high quality content from a galaxy far far away. Or do they? We discuss the show’s merits, it’s follies, and Atul’s ongoing Star Wars fatigue.
The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal as the titular character. He portrays Mando, a mandalorian bounty hunter who adopts a young force-sensitive companion simply known as “the child”. After a botched bounty-hunting job the two characters are linked in a father/son like relationship. Season 1 follows Mando’s struggle with his moral code, and reintroduces the audience to a Star Wars world post Return of the Jedi. Season 2 is a quest-y type of season with some surprises, big moments, and a few eye-rollers.
Plus, Bill Burr. Nuff said.

Hey Folks, sorry for the late post (in more ways than one). Atul and I get into the true source of our “production” delays into the episode. However, we are planning on being back to the regular schedule during this weird, Covid-19 ridden time. All we can say is it’s all gone nineteen (ominous…right?).
We talk about what we have been up to since everything turned…different. Discussions also diverge into stupid conspiracy theories and the impact the pandemic will have on the movie industry.
Enjoy, and please stay safe and healthy out there.

What’s up folks, Justin here. Atul gives us a rundown of a 90’s slasher film he checked out called Cherry Falls. We discuss the first look at Robert Pattinson as Batman. We also talk about the VFX society’s outrage at some dumb jokes made at the academy awards.

Hey Kids. Atul and I finally got around to reviewing Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Truthfully, as I type this, my fingers keep trying to type “The Last…” because it’s the last damn film. Alright, I’ll stop complaining.
Given this movie’s made all of the money, I’m sure you’ve already seen The Rise of Skywalker. So I’m going to forego the large preamble and we can get into the episode. Enjoy!
Last things last. If you haven’t already, you can also check out our review on The Last Jedi to hear what led to this episode.

What’s up folks. This is our first recording of 2020. We also got trailers for Morbius and Locke and Key and Atul and I have some thoughts about these damn things.
We also talk about the video games we played during LAN party, and some shameless shit Warner Bros pulled with the Joker 4K Blu Ray.

Hey Folks! Happy New Year! We recorded this episode just before New Years, but decided to give ourselves the additional week to decompress from the holidays. We recorded it at our prestigious LAN party event. This is when a group of 30-something year old men lock themselves in a basement for 3 days and play video games. Sounds gross? Well, that’s because it kind of is. But it’s also one of our favorite things about the holidays.
In this episode we talk about prepping for LAN Party, the quality of the Marvel/Disney blu-rays, we recap our christmas, and Atul recaps my wife and I’s Gender reveal party. Atul also discusses his weird obsession with the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol.

Todd Phillips delivers probably the most unique comic book film to date simply titled Joker. Atul and Justin review the film and discuss its hits and misses? Does it do justice for the clown prince of crime?
The story of the film is interesting, but the shining light is truly the performances from the actors, as well as the look of the film. The cinematography of Joker is truly beautiful.
We also discuss the Black Widow trailer, a Horror convention Atul attended, and a dance off between Pennywise and Joker. We also chat about Joker’s Rotten Tomatoes score! If you haven’t listened to our episode on Rotten Tomatoes you can check it out here.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have hit the 50 episode milestone! It’s a minor milestone, but we never actually celebrated a milestone before, so here it is! We talk about Atul’s utter hatred (ok, I’m exaggerating) for gender reveal parties, Star Wars Fatigue, and we reflect on our podcasting experience so far. Oh, and why do we bring up a gender reveal? Check out the episode to find out!
Sorry for the delay on release folks but lately, our day jobs have been ramping up like crazy. Hard to get together for pods, but we should be back to a regular two week schedule again soon.
Some of the topics we cover:
I’m going to keep this short, but from Atul and I thank you very much for checking us out. To another 50 episodes, and beyond!
