Atul and I, along with our resident Stephen King expert Sudip discuss IT: Chapter 2. This 3 hour film concludes the tale of Pennywise, the dancing clown, and the Losers from Derry, Maine. Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise, and a whole new slew of adult actors round out the cast portraying older versions of the characters from the first film.
We also discuss a couple of topics from Episode 48 including deaging effects and revisiting old media.

We’ve been busy, but back on the podcasting track! I’m going to keep this brief. Atul and I discuss our experiences with Legends of Horror at Casa Loma this year, which features a new installment with Pennywise from IT: Chapter 2. We also talk about Legends of Horror in Episode 28, so be sure to check that out to compare this year’s experience to last.
We also talk about a mix of topics ranging from the CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths, the Dark Tower series, and more.

The Dark Knight vs a gang of giant teenagers. Sounds kinda silly when typing it out, but when those giant teenagers are also ninjas, mutant, and turtles, well you have something special. Batman vs TMNT is the latest animated DC film to be released and it has flown under the radar. Frankly folks, we, the harbingers, did not really consider watching this until I stumbled upon a clip of the shredder killing a foot clan ninja with a throwing star. It was a complete surprise.
In this episode, we’re joined by Michael, our resident DC Animated movie fanatic. To summarize the episode, we all enjoyed the hell out of this film. It’s fun, full of action, and has plenty of memorable moments. We definitely endorse this film. Is it a kids movie? Well…that remains to be seen.
We also have some preamble about the Joker film by Todd Phillips. It is receiving quite a bit of buzz and there is already Oscar buzz, including best actor for Joaquin Phoenix.
The Joker talk leads us into chatting about the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack which features the Joker, as well as Spawn, the Terminator and other Mortal Kombat staples. This addition is pretty epic, and including favorites like Shang Tsung and Nightwolf is a big deal. Gameplay for all of the characters isn’t available, but you can check out their character intro trailer here.

Spoiler alert – Richard Gere has some involvement in the answer.
Atul and I discuss an interesting plethora of topics in this episode. They range from Richard Gere’s rumored association with the aforementioned furry creatures, and we revisit alleged blunders by characters in Avengers: Infinity War.
We also talk a bit about the new Titans season coming soon, Scooby’s return to Zombie Island, and the upcoming CW Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Justin, Atul, and our special guest Antoine discuss the most recent entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man: Far From Home. All the usual suspects from the MCU are back for the final entry in the Infinity Saga including Aunt May, Happy Hogan, MJ, Ned, and Nick Fury. Also joining the party is the mysterious Mysterio (yeah I just did that).
Overall Spider-Man: Far From Home is worth a watch, does a good job as a bookend to Avengers: Endgame, and teases what is to come in the future for the MCU.
In other MCU News, Marvel dropped their future film/TV lineup at San Diego Comic Con 2019. This includes a Jane Foster led Thor film, a Dr. Strange sequel that will dabble in the horror genre, and most importantly plans for a new Blade. The original Blade, released in 1998, is a massively important film for Atul, Antoine, and I. It paved the way for later comic book franchises, and proved that leather clad, muscle bound heros could work on the silver screen.
The enormity of this announcement, and the near perfect casting of Mahershala Ali, is a major cause in the length of this episode. When Antoine states his appreciation for the film, Atul and I kinda lose our shit. There’s at least a couple Blade tangents this episode, so hopefully you enjoy the tales of the Daywalker as much as the boys do.
Antoine’s an old friend I met through my wife, and the man is a wealth of comic book knowledge. He’s featured often on the podcast Crash and Flow, another Ontario based podcast in Canada. Crash and Flow cover all kinds of topics across movies, TV, sports, social media, fitness, and much more. It’s entered my regular podcast rotation and should be in yours too.

What’s up folks, Justin here. We start off this episode discussing some of the News that’s come out of SDCC 2019 (San Diego Comic Con). We recorded on the Friday so we were missing some pretty big pieces of news that came out on Saturday, but that just gives us content for later!
I lived in LA for almost 6 years, and SDCC was a staple while I was there. Working in the animation industry I was fortunate enough to be eligible for professional credentials. I haven’t gone to one in a few years since returning to Toronto, but reviewing the news and exclusives that come out of the con is always bitter sweet.
Atul discusses in high-level detail the film Crawl, and how it’s being compared to the Sharknado films. This results in a rant/debate about the merit of the Sharknado films, and intentionally bad films in general.
We close out the episode discussing John Carpenter’s recent expansion into the world of musical performances. Having seen him live, we can both say that it’s a great show, and seeing Mr. Carpenter live playing the keys is a sight to behold. However, he’s no Bach, Mozart, or Beethoven.

What’s up doomers! Atul and Justin get a chance to revisit the Child’s Play universe with the 2019 version of the film. The last time the harbingers messed with Chucky was in Drinking With Skeletons Episode 1.
Overall, Child’s Play 2019 is a different experience than it’s 1988 counterpart, but is it better or worse? Well check out the episode to find out!
We run the gamut on several other topics in this episode including the 2019 NBA Champion Toronto Raptors, the canned Mouse Guard film, and several other topics.
Justin is drinking a fine Oaked Chardonnay from a winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake called Caroline Cellars. They are easily the best bang for the buck in Niagara for the average person. It’s hard not to walk out of there with at least a half-dozen bottles of wine. And they average about $14 CAD per bottle. Check them out. You can’t go wrong.

What’s up folks! In this edition, Atul and Justin continue the conversation from last episode in their catch-up session. The conversation includes topics like John Wick Chapter 3, the Hulk in the Avengers films, the new Batman casting, and more.
We don’t delve into spoilers this episode, so if you haven’t seen John Wick Chapter 3 yet, you can still listen!
Not a lot of preamble here folks so let’s just get into the episode. If you’d like to know about what we’re drinking and more background on the episode, check out Episode 41.
We continue parching our thirst with lovely ales from Common Good Beer Company. You can check out their website here.

What’s up folks. Justin and Atul have taken some time off of recording but are back at it! The boys wanted to take an episode to just catch up on mic. The harbingers discuss a bunch of topics ranging from the Raptors playoff successes to classic horror films.
The beer the harbingers are drinking for the episode is from Common Good Brewing. Though Justin makes a couple jokes at their expense, their Lager and Pilsner were pretty damn good and are definitely recommended.
Check out their website here, and join us for a pint!
The harbingers discuss a bunch of other things they recommend you check out, so here’s a few links for them.
…That is all…

Hey folks, the harbingers were testing out a new audio setup before the Avenger Endgame episode and ended up going in on Batman v Superman. This isn’t a full movie review or anything, just a discussion of where the film went wrong. And what it did right.
This genesis of this episode was the result of reading some news regarding the existence of the Snyder Cut of the Justice League film, and then Atul and Justin went on a tangent. And before they knew it, the discussion continued for nearly 30 minutes. It’s been mentioned in previous episodes this discussion would happen, and now it has! So hope you enjoy the discussion on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!
