Katy Whalen knew she was not alone. After multiple year struggles with infertility, miscarriages, and IVF, Katy finally gave birth to her beautiful baby girl and then a boy to complete her family. Yet, as the light at the end of the tunnel was sitting in her arms in baby form, Katy didn’t feel like herself. She was left feeling fatigued, hormonal, overweight, and filled with brain fog - an all too common destination that women find themselves at after becoming a mother and walking down an infertility path. Determined to feel better from the inside out, Katy went on a holistic health journey and uncovered the world of hormone optimization and peptide therapies. The roadblock? Peptides were so difficult to come by! As she watched peptides transform her life and get her back to the Katy she had come to know pre-fertility journey, she set out to create Joi, a place where women can manage their health holistically and start to truly feel like themselves.
A little bit about Joi: Joi allows you to take control of your well-being with innovative peptide and hormone balancing therapies. Through a simple three step process - scheduling an online visit, completing needed diagnostic labs, and having personalized treatments shipped to your door - Joi is helping women lose weight, have better energy, improved sleep, a higher sex drive, and even youthful skin improvement, amongst others. Some of their most popular treatment packages include Cognitive Function, Anti-Aging, and Gut and Immunity.

Today I'm sharing a few things I've learned along the way when it comes to engaging in small talk! Now, small talking comes in various forms - email, work events, awkward dinner parties where you don't know anyone other than the guest of honor... Guessing that we've all been there before in some form or fashion. Have you? Well if so, then hopefully today's episode will provide you with a few tactical ways to bring out your best next time you're hoping to dodge a potentially uncomfortable conversation!

In this episode, I'm attempting to verify the thoughts, actions, and responses behind those little blue verification check marks. While not always relatable, remember that celebrities and influencers alike are in fact, real humans. With real feelings (both positive and negative) and unique health journeys of their own.
So.. come along as I attempt to find the holistic side of Hollywood, updating you on all things pop culture but.. with a healthy spin.
- Tristan Thompson & his recent IG stories talking about "responsibility"; How is Khloe? Plus, my thoughts on using "strong" as a compliment.
- Adele has rescheduled her Las Vegas residency.
- Lil Wayne mourns the loss of retired New Orleans cop he said saved his life at age 12.
- Britney Spears... the latest. Is she okay? Wishing only the best for Ms. Spears.

Two words that keep showing up for me: 1) intentionality & 2) fellowship. Recently I've been thinking about and discovering just how important both words are in my life. Being intentional and surrounding myself with the fellowship of the *right* friends really impacts my life for the better.
My hope is that these short solo episodes feel relatable. Want to continue chatting about this topic or maybe something different altogether? Let's connect!

Kate Jacobs... Wow. Where do I even begin? This woman is incredible. Having met Kate in college, I always knew her as the fun, outgoing, lovable character everyone wanted to be around. And she is still is all of those things. But even more than that, she's a woman of God with an unshakeable faith. Her testimony is powerful, y'all. Her story has inspired and challenged me.. Making me wonder if I could speak of God as boldly and confidently as she does had I been through similar circumstances.
Because I really wanted as much "Kate time" as possible, our time together went long, resulting in a two part episode. Be sure to come back in the coming days to listen to part 2 once it's released.
Kate and her husband Trey reside in Madison, MS with their son Matthew. The couple also has a daughter in heaven, Mary Owen.
