I don't feel like celebrating Ramadan the same way as I did in the past. Acknowledging my privilege as I watch a literal genocide happen through my screen and knowing that the oppressed are still choosing to fast puts me to shame. 

On one hand I feel the guilt of my privilege, and on the other I feel extreme gratitude for it, like I'm a pendulum swinging from side to side.

I know, I know, its been a while since an episode release, I'm sorry. I've had to sit with a couple of things lately - that I'm a people pleaser to my core (with my parents) and if given the choice, would avoid conflict with them even if its not good for me. Any other brown kid relate to this?
