Ok don’t get us twisted, we think Mardi Gra is SLAY, but sometimes it can be a little morally tricky for the queers as they navigate "Getting that bag" whilst having our experiences capitalised for financial gain. Usually for not a lot in return. Look, there is nothing wrong (in fact a lot right) with big corporations putting money behind community but what happens when it isn’t reflected all year round? What happens when the safes they are created aren’t so safe? Are we just getting got as queers? … Well, let’s talk about it!
