Yes, there's gun violence in Westerns, but it's nothing like scenes in today's movies and video games, filled with assault weapons, mass shootings, explosions and special effects. Cowboy movies once cemented bonds between fathers and sons, and taught lessons of honor, chivalry, and the difference between right and wrong.
