What does #NoZeroAssDays mean?
If you're habitually quitting on your goals - the concept of #NoZeroAssDays helps you to ask:
"How can I?"
"Is what I'm doing getting me closer to my goal?"
But FIRST you need to define your North Star Goal.
You may start with:
I want to read more books
I want to have more dates with my partner
These are great zoomed-in / nitty-gritty goals... but I ask you to zoom out a bit further.
Zoom out to your North Star Goal - the why.
Why do you want to lose 50lbs
Why do you want to read more books?
Why do you want to have more dates with your partner?
Why do you want to workout more?
Some examples of North Star Goals are:
I want to lose 50lbs so I can lower my blood pressure, move my body more easily and live to be 100 more comfortably.
I want to read more books because I want more down time, I want to relax more.
I want to have more dates with my partner because I want us to stay connected and grow old together, in a happy marriage.
I want to workout more so I can reduce my stress and feel strong.
If you start with nitty-gritty goals you apply too many rules - you have a stubborn set way of getting "there" and this doesn't allow you to make progress consistently.
Instead get a good North Star Goal and create a badass arsenal of #NoZeroAssDay actions!
North Star Goal:
I want to lower my blood pressure, move my body more easily and live to 100 more comfortably.
Nitty-Gritty Goal - #NoZeroAssDay action list:
Lose 50lbs
Drink less alcohol
Eat veggies with lunch
Walk 5 minutes
...etc.etc.etc.
These goals all have micro-#NoZeroAssDay actions in them, as well!
From there, every day, you pick from your #NoZeroAsssDay action list, no matter what. One action, done daily.
