š Goals or Gifts?
So what is a desire then?
If you donāt get this right⦠youāre gonna be working way too hard.
My name isĀ Mr. Twenty Twenty.
Welcome to theĀ Power of ImaginationĀ podcast.
This month insideĀ RemarkableĀ weāre exploring the disciple ofĀ Matthew.
Matthew reveals something most folks miss:
Your desire is a gift from God.
Not just the fulfillment. Not just the outcome.
TheĀ desire itselfĀ is the gift.
Everybody quotes the line:
āItās your Fatherās good pleasure to fulfill your wishes.ā
But hereās the kickerā¦
š YourĀ desireĀ is the gift.
You donāt make a gift into a goal.
You donāt treat a gift like garbage.
Think about Christmas morning. Or your birthday.
Youāre given a gift.
Is that a goal? Nope.
Itās already given. Already yours.
I donāt have PTSD anymore.
I didnāt end up in a wheelchair.
I donāt need a hip replacement.
I moved around the world to be with the woman I love.
All of that came from accepting gifts.
Not chasing goals.
Most people make manifesting about goals:
āIf I make a mind movie today, maybe Iāll get X tomorrowā¦ā
āIf I journal long enough, maybe my goal will happenā¦ā
āIf I grind through more affirmations, Iāll get thereā¦ā
Thatās not receiving. Thatās chasing.
ā ļø Your goals are blocking your gifts.
Some folks say:Ā āBut Mr. Twenty, I set intentions, not goals.ā
Cool. But letās get honest.
I donāt have an āintentionā to make this article.
This is my gift to meāand to you.
Sugar and salt look the same. But theyāre totally different.
Same with goals and gifts.
Same with intentions and desires.
Way back, Gandhi fought for salt.
Because people needed it to live.
It was taxed. It was forbidden.
Salt was life.
Today? Everyone saysĀ avoid salt.
But sugar? Itās everywhere.
š¬ Goals are like sugarāsweet, addictive, everywhere.
š§ Gifts are like saltāessential for life.
The whole āEye of the Tiger⦠Navy SEAL⦠push harderā thingā
thatās the gospel of goals.
Do you really gotta push?
Or can you accept whatās already been given?
As a little boy, Iād stretch under the tree to grab my gifts.
Now? I stretch beyond who Iāve beenā
to accept the gifts already given by God.
Thatās what changes everything.
Most people live off garbage goals.
Fluff. Filler. The same recycled nonsense.
But gifts? Thatās where the gold is.
āA spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.ā
Forget medicine. Forget sugar.
You donāt need either.
⨠What you need is magic.
Dive deeper. Soar higher.
šĀ NevilleGoddardStore.comĀ ā this is where the real goodies are.
šĀ JoinRemarkable.comĀ ā a small community of cool kids.
Twice-monthly calls. Coffee chats almost every day.
A tribe living this, not just talking about it.
Some people even make it aĀ goalĀ to figure out everything I say.
Donāt.
You donāt need to figure me out.
You donāt need to force it.
Just let it give you something.
Like a gift under the tree.
Thatās how you live more like meā
less goals, more gifts.
Thanks for accepting the gift I just gave you.
