After eight years of intense graduate school in clinical psychotherapy for her PhD, Dr Mara Karpel did not remember what made her feel passionate anymore. And she knew that feeling passionate was a key ingredient for happiness. So she began to explore how to create a passionate life in her work with the elderly in nursing homes, as well as with younger clients and in her own life.

One of Dr Mara’s key moments of rediscovering her own passion came when she recorded her first radio show during which she flashed back to being a child with a tape recorder making a radio show. Seven years later, Dr Mara has interviewed hundreds of guests about living a passionate life, and published a international best-selling book called “The Passionate Life: Creating Vitality and Joy at Any Age.”
