Marina interviewed the beautiful Poppy Cross. Poppy is a London-based transformational life coach working with accomplished clients to facilitate their ultimate fulfillment in every area of life. Poppy uses a blend of transformational coaching techniques, positive psychology and happiness research to enable her clients to recognize their professional and personal blind spots, limiting beliefs, blocks, thoughts and behaviours which sabotage success, weaken relationships, limit happiness, health, opportunity, growth and achievement.
Poppy trains her clients to think big, live big, believe in themselves, embody fierce courage, unconditional self-love and see the opportunity in every situation. Old, toxic habits are replaced with new powerful, positive, value-driven goal-orientated beliefs and behaviours to activate a life full of passion and purpose. Goals are met, vision and dreams are expanded and life is lead to the absolute fullest. No matter how big or small a perceived struggle, situation, feeling of being stuck, single, sad - the result of an optimised life can always be met if the work is done.
In this episode, Poppy and Marina discussed 1. The benefits of coaching. 2. What inspired her to become a coach. 3. What she did previously. 5. What areas she focused on with her clients. 6. Is it for everyone? 7. Her Covid-19 stress toolkit to help us turn the bad days into good ones.

Marina interviewed Hannah Tovey, author of The Education of Ivy Edwards. Hannah is from South Wales, but grew up in Hong Kong. She graduated from Faber Academy in 2018, after completing the Writing a Novel course under tutor Richard Skinner, where she finished The Education of Ivy Edwards. Hannah lives in Bow, East London and is working on the sequel, out summer 2021.
What is The Education of Ivy Edwards about? Fleabag meets Gavin and Stacey in this raw, confessional debut with the most endearing and honest of heroines. Ivy Edwards is thirty-one years old, funny, shameless, and a bit of a romantic. She's also currently trying not to cry in the office toilet. Partly because she's just run out of money for fags. A bit because her mum continues to annoy her. Definitely not because she's just been dumped by her fiancé. With her London life in shambles and her family miles away in the Welsh valleys, Ivy doesn't actually feel like she belongs anywhere. At least, she has her friends - and a bottle of vodka. Embarking on a journey of singlehood, Ivy is about to discover that sometimes, having your life fall apart can be surprisingly fun. Sometimes, heartbreak can be the best education ...
In this episode, we discussed the inspiration, the process, and all the juicy details of The Education of Ivy Edwards.
