In this episode Nicole shares both of her birth stories. Nicoles first birth she really left in the hands of her providers and didn't do much outside of trusting them in her care. During her second pregnancy she took back control, she mentally and physically prepped, and ultimately decided to home birth with an amazing team. In the end her birth happened so quickly no one made it!

July 15, 2024 EP 161: Amniotic Fluid Embolism, Life Support, and Birth Story with Ashley Zinn
In this episode Ashley shares her birth story, followed by what she experienced postpartum. Ashley experienced a very rare medical event called an amniotic fluid embolism (AFE)- it caused her body to go into total organ failure. She had less than a 30% chance of survival and is truly a miracle.
