Tesla is set to report their first quarter deliveries soon.
In this video I’m going to dive into what we can expect.
This quarter is unique due to 3 reasons:
1. Q1 is typically the slowest quarter for Tesla
2. Tesla has halted production at Fremont, Nevada, New York
3. This is the first quarter for Model Y deliveries
Before going into some Q1 delivery estimates, here’s a few notes
1. Investors are forward-looking.
2. Can Tesla open their U.S. factories in Q2?
3. Investor focus on survival vs growth?
For reference Q4 2019:
18k S/X produced
87k Model 3 produced
Total 105k vehicles
Rough estimates
85k production in Fremont
65-70k delivered
13.5k production in Shanghai
10k delivered
Total production around 95k cars
Total deliveries around 75-80k cars.
