Nachdem Christian und ich uns dazu entschieden hatten, eine eigene Agentur zu gründen, haben wir uns erstmal hauptsächlich mit Papierkram beschäftigt. Glücklicherweise haben wir sehr früh Andreas Küppers kennengelernt, der uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand und steht.
Firmengründung ist ein ProzessAls eingetragene GmbH sind wir ein Jahr lang alleine losgelaufen – mit Idee, aber ohne Businessplan.
Christian und ich waren 2016 Kommunikations-Spezialisten, keine Unternehmer. Wir haben als GmbH funktioniert, konnten alle unsere Rechnungen begleichen und sind gewachsen. Wie eine BWA funktioniert oder wie man den eigenen Cash-Flow kontrolliert und beeinflusst, davon hatten wir einfach keine Ahnung.
Heute glaube ich, dass es viele Unternehmen gibt, die mit diesen Wissenslücken erfolgreich geführt werden. Denn im Prinzip ist Business ja sehr simpel: es muss (bestenfalls) mehr Geld reinkommen als abfließt. Wir haben uns 2016 dazu entschlossen, diese Wissenslücken zu schließen und haben dann Kontakt mit Andreas Küppers und dem Gründerfonds aufgenommen.
Gründerfonds als GeneralprobeFür uns waren die Gespräche mit Andreas Küppers Gold wert. Im ersten Gespräch gab es ein klares Briefing, welche Zahlen und Fakten in unseren Businessplan gehören. Im zweiten Gespräch übernahm er die Position der Bank und nimmt unseren Plan kritisch auseinander, so wie es ein Banker tun würde. Zu verstehen, wie die Kreditvergabe für Unternehmen funktioniert, war sehr hilfreich. Und die Prognosen, die wir 2016 gemeinsam entwickelt haben, stimmen noch immer. Damals dachte ich, das wäre alles geraten, heute weiß ich es besser.
Neben der ganz objektiven Unterstützung war für uns der persönliche Kontakt mit Andreas Küppers sehr hilfreich. Wir konnten hier einfach von der großen Erfahrung mit Gründungen profitieren. Er kennt die Hürden, Stoplersteine und auch die emotionale Belastung, die eine Gründung und die damit verbundene Verantwortung mit sich bringen. Eine ganz klare Empfehlung von next PR an alle Gründer:
Sucht Euch erfahrene Fürsprecher, die sich kritisch mit Eurem Unternehmen auseinander setzen. Zahlen und BWAs sind die eine Sache, aber fast noch wichtiger ist die Auseinandersetzung mit den Aufgaben und Herausforderungen des Unternehmerseins. Austausch hilft, versprochen!
Fonds ungleich BankDer Gründerfonds vergibt kein Geld. Er vergibt Bürgschaften, die es der Bank leichter macht, Kredite zu vergeben. Der Gründerfonds bürgt für 80% der Kreditsumme.
Geld kommt von der Bank und die interessieren sich nicht für eine schillernde Idee… Für die Bank zählen nur harte Zahlen und eigentlich auch nur zwei bestimme: Eigenkapital und das Bilanzergebnis des letzten Jahres.

Die adidas Runners sind eine internationale Lauf-Community, die weltweit laufbegeisterte Menschen und solche, die es werden wollen, zusammenbringt. Seit dem Start im Jahr 2016 ist viel passiert. Inzwischen haben sich Lauf-Communities in über 70 Städten formiert, vier davon in Deutschland. Fabricio Henri du Vinage, kurz Fabo, ist Team Captain in Frankfurt am Main. Der in Berlin geborene Halbbrasilianer mit Frankfurter Schnauze ist studierter Sportwissenschaftler und Personal Trainer. Was ihn auszeichnet, ist seine Energie, "die Leute immer mitzureißen". In dieser Folge spricht er mit what's next Moderator Felix über das, was die adidas Runners Community auszeichnet, und gibt Einblick in die Wirkweise des Brand Community Sportmarketings.
Der Fun Faktor steht im VordergrundBei den adidas Runners geht es vor allem um eins: Den Spaß und die Freude am Sport. Und das zieht konstant neue Mitglieder an. In Frankfurt sind es circa 300 Sportbegeisterte, die sich regelmäßig treffen, um sich gegenseitig zu persönlichen Höchstleistungen zu motivieren.
Wir sind kein reiner Lauftreff, sondern eine Community von Läufern, die Spaß an der Bewegung haben und sich deshalb treffen, erzählt Fabo. Für Spaß und Motivation ist nicht zuletzt er selbst zuständig. Auf die Frage, wie man eigentlich Team Captain bei den adidas Runners wird, berichtet Fabo von seinem ersten Treffen mit anderen Runnern in Frankfurt, auf das er von Christian Neureuther, dem Key City Manager der adidas Runners, aufmerksam gemacht wurde. Dieser hatte ihn bei einer Personal Trainer Stunde im Fitness First gesehen und dazu motiviert, Member zu werden. Vor dem ersten gemeinsamen Lauf ergriff Fabo direkt die Initiative.
Es war November und hatte Minustemperaturen. Die Leute standen einfach in der Kälte rum – und ich hab gesagt: 'Hey, anstatt zu frieren, lasst uns lieber ein Workout machen!' In dem Augenblick kam Christian Neureuther gerade die Rampe runter, hat die Situation gesehen und sich gedacht, das ist mein Mann, berichtet Fabo.
Emotionale Bindung an die MarkeZusätzlich zu den gemeinsamen Running Treffen gibt es sogenannte „Community Hangouts“, die den Fokus auf den persönlichen Austausch und das Miteinander legen. Elementar für eine starke Brand Community ist ein ausgeprägtes Gemeinschaftsgefühl. Das fördert adidas ganz bewusst über verschiedene sportliche Challenges und den ständigen Austausch der Community miteinander auf zielgruppengerechten Social Media-Plattformen wie Facebook und Instagram. Dadurch sind die adidas Runners über verschiedene Kanäle miteinander connected und es entsteht ein starkes Gemeinschaftsgefühl sowie gleichzeitig eine enge Bindung an die Marke, weiß Fabo. Außerdem spielt der Einsatz einer emotionalen, authentischen Bildsprache auf den Social Channels eine wichtige Rolle.
Man sieht die Energie der Leute auf den Bildern und bekommt direkt eine Gänsehaut. Eines der wichtigsten Tools für die Runner ist die App adidas running by Runtastic. Damit lassen sich nicht nur die gelaufenen Strecken und Zeiten tracken, sondern die Mitglieder werden auch über bevorstehende Events der adidas Runners informiert.
Member-Benefits für adidas RunnersMit Stolz tragen die adidas Runners ihre schwarzen, gebrandeten Shirts mit dem ikonischen „AR“-Logo. Das Shirt, das jeder bekommt, der mindestens an 5 adidas Runners Läufen teilgenommen hat, bringt adidas eine nicht zu unterschätzende Werbewirkung ein, wenn die Läufer gemeinsam durch die City ziehen.
Neben den Shirts können sich die Runner durch die Nutzung der App weitere Benefits „erlaufen“. Dies pusht zum einen die Motivation der Läufer und fördert gleichzeitig die Kundenbeziehung. Ein geschickter Schachzug, um die Läufer noch enger an die Brand zu binden.
Nicht lange überlegen – einfach anfangen!Für wen ist Laufen geeignet und wer kann bei den adidas Runners mitmachen? Für Fabo ist die Sache klar: Wer mit dem Laufen anfangen will, der soll am besten nicht lange fackeln, sondern einfach draufloslaufen.
Wichtig ist, anzufangen. Einfach machen!
lautet Fabos Tipp, der übrigens nach dem gleichen Motto über die Wintermonate mit dem Eisbaden in heimischen Gewässern begonnen hat. Er ist überzeugt davon, dass jeder das Laufen lernen kann. Jeder, der zu den adidas Runners kommt, wird aufgenommen – egal wie schnell er läuft.

In der neuesten Folge des what’s next Podcasts erwartet euch ein Skype Interview mit Daniel Kremer, Influencer Marketing Manager bei YFood und Bruder des Gründers des Münchener Start ups. Bekannt wurden die Trinkmahlzeiten von YFood durch die Investmentshow „Die Höhle der Löwen“. Felix (Moderator und Kommunikations-Tausendsassa) und Valerie (Teamleiterin next PR) sprechen mit Daniel über seine tägliche Arbeit, wie er zu seinem Job kam und auf was es ankommt, wenn man täglich mit Influencern arbeitet. Was macht eine gute Kampagne aus, wie findet YFood die richtigen Partner und mit welchen Aktionen kann man sich als Marke auch mal vergreifen?
Seit 2017 ist YFood auf dem Markt und setzt seit Juni vergangenen Jahres aktiv auf Influencer Relations. Nach nur zwei Jahren arbeiten rund 60 Mitarbeiter*innen für das Unternehmen, das 2019 einen Jahresumsatz von 15 Millionen Euro erzielte.
Die besten Kooperationen konnte das Startup mit Influencern verwirklichen, die Daniel und sein Team selbst gescoutet und angefragt haben.
„Wir haben den Vorteil, mit unseren Produkten viele Nischen bedienen zu können“, verrät er. So kooperiert YFood beispielsweise mit Truckdrivern, die aus ihrem LKW-Cockpit heraus via YouTube für die praktische Trinkmahlzeit werben – eine vollwertige Alternative zum Fast Food am Autobahn-Rastplatz. Die Zielgruppe des Use Cases ist Daniel zufolge konsistent. Die Zuschauer*innen sind selbst häufig in ihren Trucks unterwegs und der Mehrwert der YFood Produkte für ihren Alltag offensichtlich.
Paid Cooperations finden bei YFood größtenteils über YouTube statt, auf Instagram haben sich Produktkooperationen (Bezahlung mit Produkten) mit Microinfluencern (5.000-20.000 Follower) bewährt. Diese erreichen Daniel zufolge eine beachtliche Gesamtreichweite von rund 500.000 Usern. Mit 60 Produktkooperationen sowie 20 bezahlten Influencer Kooperationen hat YFood im Oktober 2019 ca. drei Millionen User erreicht.
Bauchgefühl und Ausprobieren
„Wir testen immer wieder unterschiedlichste Nischen. Wenn sie so gut funktionieren wie erhofft, bauen wir die Zusammenarbeit mit Influencern in diesem Bereich aus“, so Daniel.
Bauchgefühl und Ausprobieren sind für ihn beim Testen einer neuen Nische das Mittel der Wahl. Dass das auch mal nach hinten losgehen kann, zeigt das Beispiel der Kooperation mit einem Motorradfahrer-Influencer auf YouTube. Dessen 700.000 Abonnenten (unter denen sich wider Erwarten weniger Motorradfahrer als an Motorrad-Content Interessierte befanden) reagierten zum Teil sehr negativ auf die für sie unerwartete Werbung auf dem Kanal.
Langfristig zusammenarbeiten
Was macht erfolgreiche Influencer Relations aus? Für Daniel steht die Nische bzw. deren Thema im Vordergrund. Welcher Spokesman letztlich wirbt, ist für ihn zweitrangig. Haben er und sein Team sich für einen Influencer entschieden, setzt YFood auf persönliche und langfristige Kooperationen. Aktuell arbeitet das Startup mit 10 bis 15 Keyinfluencern zusammen, die perfekt performen – Tendenz steigend.
Für Daniel ist klar: Wenn die Zielgruppe einer Nische zu jung ist, kommt sie für YFood nicht in Frage. YFood geht davon aus, dass das Thema ausgewogene Ernährung für Personen unter 21 Jahren noch keine zentrale Rolle spielt. Nicht alle Faktoren erfolgreicher Influencer Relations lassen sich jedoch so leicht abschätzen wie das passende Alter der Zielgruppe. Zur Strategie gehört deswegen viel Trial and Error: Erstmal oberflächlich ausprobieren und mit Discount-Codes und Links zügig auswerten. Performt ein Influencer dann nicht wie erhofft, beendet YFood die Kooperation auch mal nach einem Monat. Wenn sich die Nische jedoch über die Testphase als geeignet erweist, wird sie schnell ausgebaut – und die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Influencer langfristig angelegt.
Influencer auf Augenhöhe behandeln
Gute und persönliche Kommunikation mit Influencern ist laut Daniel das A und O einer funktionierenden Partnerschaft.
„Dazu gehört auch, einen Influencer wie einen Angestellten zu behandeln, ihm Wertschätzung entgegenzubringen und ihm auch mal mehr zu zahlen.“
Sieben Mitarbeiter*innen arbeiten bei YFood im Design Department. Bei Bedarf unterstützt das Team die Influencer bei der Produktion ihres Contents – grafisch, technisch und in der Postproduktion. Davon abgesehen erstellen die Kooperationspartner ihren Content jedoch selbst und nach eigenem Gusto. Hilfestellung zur Präsentation der Produkte liefert ein Erklärvideo. Um inhaltliche Fehler (wie etwa nicht zutreffende Aussagen über Inhaltsstoffe der YFood Produkte) zu vermeiden, nehmen Daniel und sein Team dennoch alle Beiträge vor der Veröffentlichung ab.
Daniel ist überzeugt: Kurzfristig angelegte Kooperationen, beispielsweise über einen Monat, führen auf Instagram nicht zum Erfolg. Aus diesem Grund denkt YFood hier langfristig. Auf YouTube hingegen hat Daniel die Erfahrung gemacht, dass schon ein einziges Video zum richtigen Zeitpunkt in der passenden Nische eine durchschlagende Wirkung haben kann.
YFood schätzt Influencer nicht nur wegen ihrer Reichweite, sondern auch für die Produktion von aktuellem und hochwertigem Content. So beansprucht YFood im Rahmen einer Kooperation auch die Verwendungsrechte der Bild- und Videomaterialien. Diese verarbeitet das Design Department zu neuem Werbe-Content weiter, der dann vom Online Performance Team über die YFood-Kanäle als Paid Ads ausgespielt wird.
Im Januar 2019 startete Christian seinen Versuch weitestgehend auf Papier zu verzichten. „Ich muss Dinge aufschreiben und skizzieren - deshalb war für mich klar, dass ich eine echte Alternative für meine Zettelwirtschaft und mein Moleskine-Gekritzel brauche“, so Christian. Nach mehreren Versuchen entschied er sich für ein iPad Pro der 3. Generation. Mit dem Apple Pencil, der App Notability und einem Crashkurs in Sketching veränderte sich seine Art sich Notizen zu machen, oder Konzepte und Ideen zu skizzieren, komplett. Nach 12 Monaten paperless Office, ist sich Christian sicher, hat er 95% weniger Papier verbraucht.
Seit dem Frühjahr 2019 hatte keiner bei next mehr einen festen Arbeitsplatz (Dazu am besten auch mal in Folge 1 reinhören) und Christian nutze das direkt um auf ein mobiles Office umzustellen. Seitdem bringt er alles was er zum Arbeiten benötigt morgens mit ins Büro und nimmt es am Abend auch wieder mit nach Hause.
„Mein Office immer dabei zu haben, macht mich einfach sehr flexibel. Ob von zu Hause, in der Bahn, in einem Co-Working oder wenn es sein muss auch mal im Urlaub - ich habe immer alles dabei und benötige nichts weiter als ein vernünftiges Wifi.“
Mobiles Office: Die PacklisteSein mobiles Office besteht tatsächlich nur aus einem Rucksack. Das Live-unpacking im Podcast ergab folgende Packliste:
Die Frage ob man denn ein extremer Nerd sein muss um einen mobilen Office-Ansatz zu fahren verneint Christian entschlossen:
"Ich bin sicherlich sehr offen gegenüber neuen technischen Entwicklungen - aber ein absoluter Pragmatiker. Dinge müssen funktionieren - sonst nervt mich das schnell extrem."
Also am besten einfach selbst ausprobieren. Vielleicht ist es leichter als ihr denkt.

Vom T-Online Sportportal über die Marketingleitung beim Deutschen Sportfernsehen und die Sponsoringleitung bei einem Energieunternehmen bis hin zum Strategischen Marketing der Deutschen Fußball Liga: Steffen Busch kennt das Sport Business aus den unterschiedlichsten Perspektiven, und das bereits seit 20 Jahren. In dieser Folge spricht er mit next PR-Gründer Christian und Podcast-Host Felix darüber, welche Rolle sein Werdegang für den Sprung in die Selbstständigkeit als Personalberater im Bereich Sport spielte, vor welchen Herausforderungen die Branche steht und welche Rolle eine starke Arbeitgebermarke dabei spielt.
next PR trifft Summit Sportmarketing: Es begann mit der Suche nach einem neuen Untermieter für ein freies Büro im next PR Headquarter. Nach fünf Minuten Kennenlerngespräch war für Christian die Sache klar: Im Februar 2018 ist Steffen Busch in die Bürogemeinschaft eingezogen. Mit Vorstellungsgesprächen kennt sich Steffen übrigens aus – wenn er auch für gewöhnlich auf der anderen Seite steht.
2016 hat sich Steffen mit Summit Sportmarketing selbstständig gemacht. Kerngeschäft ist die Personalberatung für das Sport Business. Sein Anspruch: Nicht einfach ein „klassischer Headhunter“ sein, sondern seinen Mandanten die optimale Beratung bieten – angereichert mit der fundierten Kenntnis der spezifischen Branche. Steffens beruflicher Werdegang und die Erfahrung mit den unterschiedlichen Playern des Sportbereichs haben den Grundstein für die Nähe zur Praxis gelegt, die Summit auszeichnet.
„Mir war es wichtig, etwas zu tun, das ich gut kann“,
begründet Steffen die bewusste Entscheidung, sich auf den Sportbereich zu konzentrieren, statt verschiedene Branchen mit seiner Personalberatung zu bedienen. Was auf den ersten Blick nach Nische klingt, dahinter steckt bei genauerem Hinsehen ein riesiges Business. Erklärungsbedürftig ist das in jedem Fall – und nicht zuletzt eine der Aufgaben von Summit in Rekrutinggesprächen.
Die bestmöglichen Kandidaten finden, ansprechen, überzeugen und rekrutieren – so beschreibt Steffen sein täglich Brot. Summit unterstützt bei der Besetzung kaufmännischer Positionen. Es geht also nicht um die Spieler auf dem Feld, sondern beispielsweise um Marketing- und Salespersonal. Stellen also, die auch viele Unternehmen aus anderen Branchen mit den Besten besetzen wollen. So überrascht es wenig, dass rund zwei Drittel der Kandidaten, die Summit rekrutiert, keinen „sportlichen“ Hintergrund haben – oder auch nur den Sportbereich als Arbeitgeber in Erwägung ziehen.
In den Gesprächen mit Kandidaten geht es unter anderem um das „Wegwollen und Hinwollen“. Was heißt das konkret? Steffens Erfahrung nach besteht bei vielen Fachkräften eine latente Bereitschaft zum Jobwechsel – auch wenn sie noch nicht innerlich gekündigt haben. Dort setzt Summit an, um für seine Mandanten die idealen Kandidaten zu rekrutieren.
Employer Branding als langfristige Maßnahme
Für Steffen endet die Betreuung seiner Mandanten jedoch nicht mit der Besetzung von Stellen. Die Konkurrenzsituation mit Unternehmen anderer Branchen zeigt: Eine starke Arbeitgebermarke ist heute wichtiger denn je. Neben der Personalberatung unterstützt Summit deswegen auch im Bereich Employer Branding. Steffen weiß:
„Es reicht heute nicht mehr, einfach eine Stelle auszuschreiben. Selbst als attraktiver Bundesligist.“
Vielmehr geht es um die strategische Positionierung als Arbeitgeber, intern und extern. Die Stärke seiner Mandanten in der Kommunikation und in der Markenführung schließt laut Steffen das Thema Arbeitgebermarke derzeit noch nicht mit ein. Summit sieht es deswegen als seine Aufgabe an, diese Unternehmen auf dem Weg der Positionierung zu begleiten. An dessen Anfang steht ein handwerklicher Prozess, der die Beantwortung zentraler Fragen erfordert: Wer ist meine Zielgruppe? Welche Bedürfnisse hat sie? Was sind meine Stärken und Schwächen als Arbeitgeber?
Mit der Unterstützung im Bereich Employer Branding hat Summit ein neues Geschäftsfeld für sich erschlossen, das im ersten Moment widersprüchlich erscheinen mag: Fallen für Summit nicht irgendwann Mandanten weg, wenn diesen die Rekrutierung durch eine attraktive Arbeitgebermarke wesentlich erleichtert wird?
Was sich plausibel anhört, steht für Steffen nicht im Fokus seiner Strategie. Ihm geht es darum, seinen Mandanten mit der bestmöglichen Beratung zur Seite zu stehen. Egal ob es sich um Personalberatung als kurzfristiges Mittel der Wahl oder um den langfristig angelegten Aufbau einer Employer Brand handelt. Einen ähnlichen Ansatz der Kundenzentriertheit verfolgt next: „Auch wir unterstützen unsere Kunden dabei, langfristig Dinge besser zu machen – zum Beispiel in Form von Workshops und Tutorials“, stimmt Christian Steffens Ansatz zu.
Nichts ersetzt das persönliche Gespräch
Eine weitere Beobachtung, bei der sich Summit und next PR einig sind: Kein Gespräch, das man führt – sei es mit Kandidaten, Mandanten oder (potentiellen) Kunden – ist umsonst.
„In unserer Branche sieht man sich nicht zweimal im Leben, sondern zweimal im Quartal“,
betont Steffen den Stellenwert eines aktiven Netzwerks und offener Kommunikation. Das persönliche Gespräch ist dabei durch nichts zu ersetzen – da sind sich Christian und Steffen einig.
So stehen die beiden auch in regelmäßigem Austausch miteinander. Beratung auf dem Weg zu einer starken Arbeitgebermarke und eine Agentur, die sich neben der Konzeption auch mit der Umsetzung von Marketingstrategien auskennt – das geht gut zusammen. Diese Synergien planen Summit und next PR 2020 weiter auszubauen.
Employer Branding 2020
Steffen weiß: Arbeitnehmer interessieren sich heute nicht mehr nur für das Gehalt. Eine zentrale Rolle bei der Wahl des passenden Jobs spielen auch die Frage nach Sinn und Werten, flexiblen Arbeitsmodellen und Themen wie Remote & New Work.
Seine Empfehlung für die Sport-Branche: „Schaut euch den Wettbewerb an – was tun andere für ihre Mitarbeiter? Wie lebe ich eine moderne Arbeitskultur? Diese Werte und Prozesse, die es schon gibt, gilt es herauszuarbeiten – dann fällt es leichter, Leute aus anderen Branchen in den Sport zu holen.“ Oder kurzgesagt: „Dinge tun und darüber sprechen“, wie Christian es formuliert.

Wenn normalerweise bei next jemand eine Idee hat, wird erst mal gemacht. Heute nicht. In der aktuellen Podcast-Folge wird gewünscht: Und zwar eine Podcast-Plattform, wie sein sollte: Modern, funktional und vor allem kommunikativ. Felix, Valerie und Christian brainstormen laut.
Gefühlt waren Podcasts schon immer da, aber so populär wie heute, waren sie noch nie. Wenn es jedoch nach den drei what's next-Podcastern vom Dienst geht, fehlt noch etwas Entscheidendes, um von der Nische auf die Breite der Bevölkerung überzuspringen: Eine Podcast-Plattform, die alles vereint.

Das Medium Podcast wächst. Nicht nur, weil für jeden etwas Interessantes oder Spannendes dabei ist, sondern vor allem, weil im Vergleich zu anderen digitalen Medien die durchschnittliche Qualität der Produkte sehr hoch ist. Christian meint sogar, dass Podcasts zu seiner Haupt-Lernquelle geworden sind und für ihn sogar Bücher abgelöst hätten.
Die Drei hoffen jedenfalls, dass bereits an einer solchen Plattform gearbeitet wird oder freuen sich darüber, von einer vorhandenen Plattform zu hören, die sie bisher noch nicht entdeckt haben.

Diesmal geht es um Smartphone Notifications – ein zweischneidiges Schwert. In manchen Fällen nützlich, sorgen sie dennoch für ständige Unterbrechungen und rauben damit jede Menge Zeit. Christian, Gründer und Geschäftsführer von next, berichtet in seiner Inspiration für eure Mittagspause, wie er seit etwa einem halben Jahr seinen Alltag ohne Push-Benachrichtigungen und Mitteilungen erlebt.
Schon länger erlaubt das Betriebssystem iOS von Apple den Nutzern, zu überprüfen, wie viel Zeit sie tagtäglich mit ihren Smartphones und einzelnen Apps verbringen.
"Ich fand diese Funktion super spannend und war gleichzeitig erschrocken von mir selbst“, berichtet Christian von seiner Reaktion beim Blick auf die eigene Bildschirmzeit. Das Thema ließ ihm keine Ruhe, sodass er sich fortan mit Möglichkeiten beschäftigte, seine tägliche Nutzungsdauer zu verringern. Gar nicht so einfach als Geschäftsführer einer Kommunikations-Agentur, in der die ständige Smartphone-Nutzung quasi zu den „Berufskrankheiten“ zählt – könnte man meinen. Dass es trotzdem Wege gibt, die Bildschirmzeit nicht ausufern zu lassen, zeigen Christians Erfahrungen.
Nach und nach verabschiedete er sich von Mitteilungen im Sperrbildschirm, Push-Benachrichtigungen und den fiesen kleinen Nummern, die auf die Anzahl ungelesener Emails oder WhatsApp-Nachrichten hinweisen. Dabei ging es Christian aber gar nicht nur um die reine Bildschirmzeit, sondern darum, die Flut von Nachrichten um die Aufmerksamkeit der Nutzer buhlender Apps einzudämmen. Denn durch das ständige „Checken“ des Handys geht der Fokus auf das, was man eigentlich gerade tut, oft komplett verloren.
"Ich möchte einfach selbst entscheiden, wann ich welche Nachricht lese, und mir nicht von meinem Smartphone meinen Terminkalender diktieren lassen.“
Seine Pickups – also die Anzahl der Male, die er jeden Tag sein Handy „aufhebt“ und entsperrt – haben sich in den letzten Monaten etwas verringert: Bis zu 90 solcher Pickups zählte Christians Smartphone früher am Tag, heute sind es etwas weniger. Ein schöner Nebeneffekt – doch für Christian nicht entscheidend. Ihm geht es um nicht weniger als die selbstbestimmte Nutzung seines Smartphones.
Eine weitere wichtige Erkenntnis aus dem Alltag ohne Smartphone-Mitteilungen: Christian kann sich an keine Situation erinnern, in der er aufgrund der deaktivierten Push-Meldungen eine dringende Nachricht verpasst hätte. Unter anderem wohl deswegen, weil bei der Arbeit am Rechner ohnehin sämtliche Programme von Mails über WhatsApp Web bis hin zu Apps wie Slack den ganzen Arbeitstag lang geöffnet sind. Und wenn doch mal was Dringendes sein sollte, gibt es neben den ganzen schriftlichen Möglichkeiten ja auch noch die Option, ihn ganz klassisch anzurufen – und ihn so auf dem Weg zu erreichen, für den mobile Telefone ursprünglich konzipiert wurden.
Christian ist sich sicher:
„Ich werde die Benachrichtigungen nie wieder aktivieren.“

25. September 2019 – ein ganz besonderer Tag für den next Podcast. Felix und das next Team freuen sich sehr, heute den ersten externen Interviewgast im Podcast begrüßen zu dürfen. Den Anfang macht kein geringerer als Unternehmenskultur-Entfalter Matthias Winter, der nicht nur seinen Weg zum selbstständigen Coach beschreibt, sondern auch mit einem kurzen Live Check der next PR-Kultur (ab Minute 33) einen kleinen Einblick in seine tägliche Arbeit gibt. Wir wünschen euch viel Spaß beim Hören dieser spannenden und inspirierenden Folge!
Unternehmenskultur-Coach wird man nicht, indem man eine klassische Ausbildung durchläuft. Aufgewachsen in einem beschaulichen Dorf in der Oberpfalz entdeckte Matthias Winter mit 16 bei den Burgfestspielen Leuchtenberg seine Faszination für das Theater. Einen besonderen Reiz machte für ihn aus, dass er sich früh einbringen, mitgestalten durfte. Als Teil eines Ganzen – des Geschehens auf und hinter der Bühne – erfuhr er, was es bedeutet, für eine Sache zu brennen und sich dafür einzusetzen.

Vom Kulturunternehmer kam die Wende zum Coach für Unternehmenskultur. Matthias hat sich nach vielen Jahren am Theater und diversen Zusatzausbildungen mit 39 Jahren selbstständig gemacht. Heute nimmt er gemeinsam mit Unternehmen deren Kultur unter die Lupe, analysiert den Ist-Zustand und zeichnet ein Bild für den Soll-Zustand. Die Unternehmenskultur ist für ihn maßgeblich für den Erfolg eines Unternehmens. Matthias begleitet seine Kunden auf dem Weg zu einem Kulturwandel. Er ist überzeugt: Jeder Mensch trägt die Grundvoraussetzungen dafür bereits in sich.
Ganz entscheidend ist in diesem Prozess die Rolle der Führungskraft. Für Matthias gibt es nicht den einen richtigen Führungsstil. Wie auch immer der im individuellen Fall aussehen mag: Allen Führungskräften gemein ist die Anforderung, Unternehmenskultur vorzuleben. Nur dann kann sich ein Kulturwandel wirklich vollziehen. Und nur dann kann es gelingen, den Mitarbeitern den nötigen Raum zu geben, sich zu entfalten und die Rollen auszufüllen, die ihnen am besten entsprechen. Wie im Theater eben.
Jeder performt am besten in dem, was er gerne tut.Matthias ist überzeugt: Menschen sind das wirkliche Kapital eines Unternehmens – Humankapital im wahrsten Sinne. Was oft so lapidar oder gar despektierlich dahergesagt klingt, entscheidet für ihn über langfristigen Erfolg oder Misserfolg. Aus dem Wissen und der Energie jedes einzelnen Mitarbeiters zu schöpfen, birgt ein enormes Potential. Erst recht, wenn alle eine gemeinsame Vision verfolgen.

Es kommt also gar nicht so sehr auf darauf an, die am besten qualifizierten Mitarbeiter zu finden. Sondern das Feuer in jedem Einzelnen zu entfachen, das alle gemeinsam antreibt. Dazu gehört es, zuzuhören, hinzuschauen und wertzuschätzen. Denn Wertschätzung ist elementar für jeden – ausnahmslos. In Anlehnung an Streleckys „Big Five For Life“ argumentiert Matthias: Einen Zweck der Existenz zu haben und sich daran zu orientieren, ist nicht nur für den Menschen selbst, sondern auch für ein Unternehmen ganz entscheidend.
Eine solche Unternehmenskultur zu etablieren, bedeutet, Räume zu entwickeln. Zu berücksichtigen, wie einzelne Teile des Gefüges die Welt wahrnehmen. Und es erfordert Mut. Mut, die Schritte auf dem Weg zur gewünschten Unternehmenskultur nicht nur zu kennen, sondern sie vor allem zu gehen.
Live Check: Unternehmenskultur bei nextIm zweiten Teil des Interviews stoßen Christian, Gründer und Geschäftsführer von next, sowie Valerie, Beraterin und beinahe seit Beginn an Bord, zum Gespräch dazu. Auf Basis des Clare Graves Modells, dem die Frage zugrunde liegt, was Menschen antreibt, hat Matthias vorbereitend den Ist-Zustand der Unternehmenskultur bei next interpretiert. Anhand scheinbar einfacher Fragen („Beschreibe den jeweils anderen in seiner Rolle und überlege dir, welche Position er auf eine andere Branche übertragen einnehmen würde“) analysiert er, nach welchen Werten next tickt.
Ab Minute 33 erfahrt ihr, was Christian mit einem Schiffskapitän gemeinsam hat und was Valerie als Öko-Landwirtin qualifiziert. In Form dieses kurzen Interviews (das nur einen Bruchteil einer ausführlichen Analyse darstellt) nimmt Matthias den Ist-Zustand bei next unter die Lupe. Dabei stellt er unter anderem fest, dass „Geborgenheit“ bei next einen hohen Stellenwert hat.
Matthias führt außerdem aus, welche Faktoren dazu beitragen können, dass das Wertesystem eines Unternehmens mit dem Unternehmen mitwächst – um ein Zukunftsbild zu entwickeln, das auf den festgelegten Werten basiert. Und daran sollte jedes Unternehmen ein berechtigtes Interesse haben – unabhängig von seiner Größe oder Struktur. Matthias ist überzeugt:
Alles ist durch Unternehmenskultur regelbar – und zwar nur durch Unternehmenskultur.

In der heutigen Folge diskutieren Christian (CEO next) und Max (Spezialist für Social Advertising) die These: Ehrliches Influencer-Marketing ist die beste Werbung! Wer ist heutzutage Influencer? Influencer bedeutet nicht zwingend, Instagrammer, Blogger oder YouTuber zu sein. Der Begriff Influencer Relations ist längst zu einem Buzzword im Bereich Online-Marketing geworden. Was es jedoch genau heißt, Influencer zu sein, weiß irgendwie keiner so genau. Vielleicht deswegen, weil es sich Monat für Monat verändert oder weil bisher niemand zum Beispiel Qualitätsstandards definiert hat.
Die Reputation des klassischen Influencers – heute wohl vor allem mit dem Instagrammer oder YouTuber assoziiert – ist in den letzten Monaten etwas in Verruf geraten. Max und Christian vertreten trotzdem die These, dass Influencer-Marketing immer noch die beste Art der „Werbung“ ist – jedoch nur unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen.
Die Basis dafür ist, dass Marke und Influencer längerfristig zusammenarbeiten, der Influencer und die Marke zusammenpassen und beim Influencer ein authentisches und ehrliches Interesse am Produkt besteht. Diese Punkte sind das Fundament glaubhafter Kommunikation.
„Ich will nicht heute für die eine Brand stehen und morgen für die andere, das finde ich unauthentisch“, sagt Model Lena Gercke im Interview.
Ein Influencer ist kein Werbeplakat, sondern ein Mensch
Christian glaubt sogar, dass es für eine Marke von Vorteil sein kann, wenn das „Testurteil“ nicht nur positiv ausfällt, sondern persönliche Kritik enthält. „Niemand findet ein Produkt zu 100 % gut“, meint er. Erst fundierte Kritikpunkte bzw. der Einbau der persönlichen Meinung machen eine Kooperation glaubhaft. Was für den einen passt, passt für den anderen möglicherweise nicht – das macht ein Produkt aber noch lange nicht besonders gut oder schlecht. Beispiel Kinderwagen: Der eine hat ein kleines Auto und lebt in der Stadt, der andere lebt auf dem Land und ist viel im Wald und auf Wiesen unterwegs. Der eine braucht einen mobilen Kinderwagen mit sehr kleinem Packmaß, der andere ist mit einem robusten Modell mit großen Rädern besser beraten. Unterschiedliche Anforderungen sagen nichts über die Produktqualität aus.
Warum folgt man heute einem Account? Man findet gut, was die Person macht, man möchte so sein wie die Person, oder man hat viele Gemeinsamkeiten. Alles führt dazu, dass man die Meinung des Influencers schätzt und somit auch eine Produktempfehlung ganz anders wahrnimmt. Wenn diese Person also feststellt, dass Kinderwagen A für sie nicht passt, weil er viel zu groß ist, heißt das nicht automatisch, dass die Community empfindet: Okay, das ist ein schlechter Kinderwagen. Sondern sich viel mehr die für sie relevanten und für ihre Lebensumstände wichtigen Informationen rauszieht.
Somit kommen wir wieder zurück zur Ausgangsfrage: Wer ist heutzutage ein Influencer? (Übrigens: Noch mehr zum Thema Influencer Relations könnt ihr euch in Folge #6 mit Helen und Marsha anhören.) Max und Christian glauben, dass jeder ein Influencer ist, und belegen das mit ganz konkreten Beispielen.
